Penn 150s: Locations
The boathouse is located in Princeton, New Jersey on the campus of Princeton University at Lake Carnegie on the corner of Washington Road (Route 571) and Faculty Road. Use US Route 1 to the Washington Road Circle, one mile west on Washington Road to Faculty Road and the boathouse. Or, use Route 27 to Princeton and Washington Road, one mile east on Washington Road to Faculty Road and the boathouse.

The Boathouse is at the eastern end of campus, at the edge of Lake Carnegie.
The best viewing location for fall races is on one of the bridges over the lake. Please be careful as vehicle traffic is not blocked on these streets during the races.
Spring races occur at the far end of the lake and are best viewed from the finish area, about 3 miles north along Nassau Street. Alternatively, there is a walking/bicycle path along the course, with access near all of the bridges.
From New York and points Northeast:
Take I95 south to Exit 9
Take exit 9 to merge onto NJ-18 North toward US-1/New Brunswick
Merge onto US-1 S via the ramp to Trenton/Princeton
Turn right at Co Rd 526/Co Rd 571/Washington Rd
Turn left at Faculty Rd
Boathouse will be on the left
From Philadelphia and points South:
Take I95 north to exit 46A
Take exit 46A to merge onto US-1 N toward Morrisville
Take the Alexander Rd exit toward Princeton/Princeton Jct
Turn left at Alexander Rd
Turn right at Faculty Rd
Stay on Faculty Road through the traffic circle
Boathouse will be on the right

Take Interstate Route 495 South. Get off at Interstate Route 290 West (Worcester). Get off at Exit 22 (Main St.). Turn right at the end of the ramp. Turn left at the second traffic light onto Plantation Street. Turn left onto North Road (between the Mercandante Funeral Home and UMass Medical Center). Proceed to Lake Ave and turn right. The park entrance is one hundred yards on the left.

The Race Course
Head Of The Charles Regatta starts at the Boston University DeWolfe Boathouse, and winds 3 miles upriver to Artesani Playground in Brighton. Download a pdf of the Course Map.

Public Transportation
All those who are not arriving with boats on their cars are STRONGLY advised to use public transportation. The course is within easy walking distance of 3 MBTA stations (Central & Harvard on the RED line, and BU Central on the B Branch of the Green Line) and multiple bus routes travel near to the course (1, 47,64,66, 71,72,73,74, 75, 86). Shuttles
The Regatta provides two complimentary shuttle bus services throughout the course with on shuttle running stops at the Singles and Doubles Launch Site, Lars Andersen Bridge (Boston-side), Cambridge Boat Club, and the Finish Area Launch Site and the other running from the parking area on Birmingham Parkway to the Finish Area Launch Site. Directions
Driving Directions
FALS - Mass Pike to exit 18 East. exit 20 West, follow signs to Cambridge. Stay straight through several traffic lights and across the River Street Bridge. Once across the bridge, take a left onto Memorial Drive (there will be a Shell station and a Mobile station at the corners.) Stay on Memorial Drive for 1.6 miles at which point it will fork (near the Cambridge Boat Club.) Staying to the left, follow signs for Watertown/Newton. Proceed through the traffic light, and as you approach Eliot Bridge, follow signs for Boston/Newton. As you are crossing Eliot bridge stay to the right and an HOCR volunteer will meet your trailer and direct you to a parking space. It would be helpful to consult a parking map or course map to assist with directions.
SADL (Magazine Beach) - Same as above, expect go RIGHT onto Memorial Drive once you cross the River Street Bridge. Magazine Beach is located about 1/4 mile downstream of Riverside Boat Club, across from the large Shell sign.
Anticipated Road Closures:
8 AM - 7 PM: Memorial Drive from Cambridge Boat Club to Western Avenue (Saturday & Sunday)
