Quinsigamond State Park consists of two sites located on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester: Regatta Point and Lake Park. The 25 acre Regatta Point area offers facilities for swimming, sailing, picnicking and fishing. The area is used extensively for sailing and rowing crew regattas.

The 2,000 meter rowing course established on Lake Quinsigamond is internationally recognized as one of the best courses in the world. The Lake Park area provides a number of recreational opportunities including a picnic area, swimming beach and tennis courts.

Park Directions

The park is located on the Worcester/Shrewsbury line in Central Massachusetts.

From the East/Northeast:

    Take Rte 495 to Rte 290 West.
    Follow Rte 290W to Exit #22, Main St/Shrewsbury.
    Take a right at end of ramp.
    At second set of lights, take a left onto Plantation St.
    Follow Plantation St. back under Rte 290 and then take a your next left onto Natural History Dr.   (Natural History Dr. will turn into N. Lake Ave.)
    Park entrance will be on your left at the break in the median across from UMASS.

From Boston/Southeast:

    Take MASS PIKE West (Rte. I-90W) to exit # 11 in Grafton, Rte 122.
    Take a left onto Rte 122 North(Grafton St).
    At the third set of lights take a right onto Sunderland Rd.
    At the next set of lights take a left onto Lake Ave.
    Proceed for 2.5 miles, crossing Rte 9.
    Park entrance is on your right across from UMASS Hospital.

From West/Southwest:

    Take MASS PIKE east (Rte. I-90E) to exit #10 in Auburn, Rte 290.
    Follow 290E through Worcester to exit #21, Plantation St.
    Take a right at end of ramp onto Plantation St.
    Take your next left onto Natural History Dr. (Nat. History Dr. will turn into N Lake Ave)
    Park entrance will be on your left at the break in the median across from UMASS

From Northwest:

    Take Rte 2 West to Rte 190 South towards Worcester.
    Follow Rte 190S to end onto Rte 290 East.
    Take 290E to exit #21, Plantation St.
    Take a right at end of ramp onto Plantation St.
    Take your next left onto Natural History Dr. (Natural History Dr. will turn into
    N. Lake Ave.)
    Park entrance will be on your left at the break in the median across from UMASS



Lake Park: from Regatta Point, travel south on Lake Ave across Rte 9 for 1 mile to park entrance on left. Park is located directly across from the State Skating Rink.

Take the Cross Bronx Expressway/New England Thruway/95 North from Manhattan to exit 8b (Shore Road)
Follow Shore Road Northeast until you turn right (the first exit on the roundabout) on Orchard Beach Road (2nd intersection on Shore Rd).
Take Orchard Beach Road until you turn left on Park Dr. and follow Park Dr. until the parking lots for Orchard Beach Park

6. Take the 2nd right to stay on Glen Island Approach 0.3 mi
7. Turn left

Celebrating the Birth of the US Navy. In 1986 two Navy League members developed an idea to sponsor a rowing regatta to promote and support Navy/Marine Corps awareness to be held the two weeks of October for the US Navy's birthday. The regatta has grown from 5 races to over 50 events with more than 2000 athletes.

Princeton University Boathouse
The boathouse is located in Princeton, New Jersey on the campus of Princeton University at Lake Carnegie on the corner of Washington Road (Route 571) and Faculty Road. Use US Route 1 to the Washington Road Circle, one mile west on Washington Road to Faculty Road and the boathouse. Or, use Route 27 to Princeton and Washington Road, one mile east on Washington Road to Faculty Road and the boathouse.
