Peninsula Little League Recieves Grant
Peninsula Little League was selected by the Urban Initiative for a field development grant. We are currently working with Portland Public Schools, City of Portland parks and recreation and the Urban Initiative to finalize plans for a home field for Peninsula. A site has been chosen within our boundaries, a request has been made to PPS and we are waiting approval from them. We were awarded one of 5 grants in the amount of $200,000.
The league has also made a request to the Friends of Baseball foundation for funds to purchase concession stand equipment (popcorn popper, snow cone machine, hot dog roller, etc.) We should hear from them by late February.
