Looking for the Next Great Chill Gold Catcher!
We are trying to plan ahead a little. Our current catcher is a 2009 graduate and she is outstanding. She has been a top Gold catcher the last two years and will be again this coming summer. Right now she is the only senior on a talented team of 2010s and 2011s that will be a very competitive ASA Gold team for the next several years.
We are looking forward to August 2009 for a very exceptional catcher who will come in and take over the lion's share of the work behind the plate following our current catcher's graduation.
Ideally the catcher we are looking for will be with us a minimum of two years and hopefully more. Therefore, we are looking for a 2011, 2012 or 2013 graduate. If you are looking to get into a highly competitive program with an excellent track record of recruiting success please feel free to write or call.
Remember, we are not looking for someone this coming summer. This spot would be for the fall 2009 recruiting season and beyond.

Illinois Chill Gold - How Does it Make a Recruiting Difference?
We assist our players in the recruiting process in the following manner:
1. We train them to become better softball players. This allows them to be recruited at the maximum level their skills will allow. We pit them against national level competition on a regular basis which forces our players to improve and to gain a better understanding of what it truly means to be a competitive and skilled softball player.
2. We attend major recruiting/showcase tournaments. Among the tournaments we have attended recently: Boulder/Lousiville Independence Day Tournament, Team New Jersey Fall and Summer Shocases, Fall Florida Rising Stars, Las Vegas JO Classic, CA Champions Cup as well three or four ASA Gold qualifiers each summer.
3. We actively teach our players how to communicate with college coaches, assist them with their skills videos, contact college coaches on their behalf, and give them the athletic and academic guidance that will allow them to be "recruitable".
This website provides information on our schedule, colleges that have watched us play, and where are girls are going to college. In addition, there are recruiting tips that I have written and other handouts you may find useful whether you are playing for us or not. I am a firm believer in sharing information that I believe is useful if it will help any softball player with her development.
If you would like information on Chill Gold please feel free to call or email Gerry Quinn. Cell phone: 847-772-9107 Email: gtq33@yahoo.com

Program History
The 2008-2009 Chill Gold Team is entering its sixth consecutive season as an ASA registered Gold team. No club program in the Midwest offers better and more consistent collegiate exposure and no program provides guidance to the recruiting process better than the Illinois Chill 18U Gold. We have had 20 D1 commits (also a D3 and a D2) from the last four recruiting classes, an indication of the quality players and exposure available on the Chill GOLD team.
The Illinois Chill completed its 10th year of existence during the 2007-2008 season. Fall 2007 saw the 18U Gold team attend national exposure events at Team New Jersey and Florida Rising Stars. Summer 2008 has featured participation in the Colorado Independence Day Tournament, the California Champions Cup, three ASA Gold Qualifiers including the Heartland Showcase, the Illinois Sharks Round Robin, and the Beverly Bandits Gold Weekend.
The 16U team attended 2007 Fall recruiting events at the Homer Hawks Fall Exposure and St. Louis Fall Exposure tournaments. The summer of 2008 has featured participation by the 16U team in the CO Fireworks Tournament, Orland Park Sparks Invite, and three ASA National Qualifiers.
