Pembroke Titans Football & Cheerleading: Achievements
Pembroke Pop Warner Football And Cheerleading
(Founded in 2002)
Our 100th Victory is around the corner !!!
Founded in 2002 in recognition of the split from Silver Lake High School, Pembroke Pop Warner is the Oldest Pembroke Youth Football and Cheerleading League. We coined the nickname "Titans" back in 2002 choosing Blue, White, Red and Gray as our colors; Later in 2003 (our innaugural season), the new Pembroke High School student population voted to accept "Titans" as the High School name also !
In 2005 a small group of parents broke away from Pembroke Pop Warner and started their own Youth Football and Cheerleading organization (Pembroke Old Colony) They are not recognized by National or Regional Pop Warner.
Our success is not only about wins and first place finishes, but about learning, teaching, teamwork, fun, fundamentals, respect, confidence, relationships, desire, resilience, measuring improvement etc. We have been successful by surrounding the children with great coaches and great volunteers that want to see all of them succeed. With that said we would be remiss if we didn't recognize the accomplishments of certain squads/teams.
In other leagues (outside the Hockomock) you'll see football teams with one, two or three wins going to post season play (e.g. 1 win and 7 losses or 4th place but there's only 5 teams). However Pembroke Varsity squads/teams must earn their post season berths. Football teams must have 4 or fewer losses (.500 in an 8 game season), Cheer squads must finish in 1st or 2nd.
The two Football Playoff Brackets are National and Hockomock.
National: The top 2 Teams in every Pop Warner conference (must 4 or fewer losses) make the National Playoffs. The winner represents New England in Disney World for the National championship. (see popwarner.com)
Hockomock: The remaining teams with 4 or fewer losses are invited to the Hockomock Playoffs.
