We are the Oldest Pembroke Youth Football and Cheerleading program - The "Original" Pembroke Titans. Pembroke Pop Warner was founded in 2002 (Pembroke Youth Football (OCL) was founded in 2005). If you want to be part of a winning organization, steeped in tradition and respected throughout the South Shore, then get on board ! We are chomping at the bit to start the 2009 football season. Sign up and celebrate our 100th Victory with us. Pop Warner, Founded In 1929, has 400,000 participants. Now The New England Patriots Have Joined Pop Warner Too ! GetTheDetails No Pembroke child will be turned away - No waiting lists - We want all the Children cheering and playing football - it's our top priority. We will accept Online and Mail-in registrations over the summer. Please try to register in full by August 3rd. Equipment Pick Up Dates are Thursday July 23rd and Tuesday July 28th - both are 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the Community Center (Rec Ctr). Practice Starts Monday August 3rd @ 5:30 pm at the High School ! 2009 Sunday Home Games are Sept 13, Sept 27, Oct 11th and Oct 25th @ the Pembroke High School Turf Field. 2009 Registration Info Pop Warner Football Overview 2008 Football Standings Pop Warner dominates Massachusetts Youth Football And Cheerleading with over 200 cities and towns particpating (some teams are multi-town). Click here for a full list In 2008 our 4 away games were Duxbury, Milton, Carver and Bourne; Our 4 home games were played on the Pembroke High School turf field against Braintree, Dedham, Randolph and Wareham. Hockomock Pop Warner Teams South Of Boston: Duxbury, Carver (includes Plympton, Middleboro, Halifax), Taunton (includes Raynham), Plymouth (400+ children), Milton (includes Quincy), Braintree, Canton, Dedham, Randolph (includes Holbrook), Stoughton (includes Avon), Bourne, Sharon, Easton, Wareham, Westwood (includes Dover), Foxboro (includes Walpole) etc. The 2009 Division II Hockomock Power Rankings are in: Pembroke's 2009 ranking is 5th amongst 21 Hockomock teams - great job everyone ! ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ WE HAVE A GREAT CADRE OF FOOTBALL COACHES:In 2009 our football coaches (combined) will have over 80 years of Football coaching experience (Youth, High School and College) and over 67 years of High School and Collegiate Football playing experience. Their playing resumes: 3 MIAA High School Captains, 2 MIAA High School Hall Of Famers, 1 Shriners All Star MVP, 4 NCAA College Captains, 5 NCAA All Star Selections (1 ECAC - 1 CAA Div 1 - 1 NEC Div 2 - 1 NEFC Div 3) and last but not least 2 coaches are NCAA College Hall Of Famers. All Our Head Football Coaches complete 2 Mandatory Clinics All Our Head Coaches have received NFL Youth Coaching Certification All Coaches and Staff members must pass 2 background checks All Football teams (and cheerleading teams) are fully insured through National Pop Warner Our Helmets are NOCSAE Safety Certified (Reconditioned) every 2 years. Our Shoulder Pads and Helmets are also cleaned and sanitized by a professional athletic company. We supply All your Football Equipment (except cleats). Our equipment is State of the Art: Riddell Revolution Helmets and Chin Straps, Riddell Football Pants (game and practice), Riddell Shoulder Pads, Riddell Junior High Pads for older/larger players, NFL style home jersey, Reebok away jersey etc. _____________________________________________________________________________________ All children are assigned to one of at least 5 (last year 6) Varsity football teams. The assignment is done based on Age, Weight, Experience and Skill level.We do not field Practice Squads, JV teams, Division 5 teams or "B" teams. We want all Pembroke youth football players and Pembroke youth cheerleading squads to experience Varsity life with their peers and our Varsity coaches. Our football games are on Sunday (except for night games). We can field as many Varsity football teams as we'd like. We welcome any Pembroke football players that would like to join, nobody will be turned away from Varsity play (there are no waiting lists). All Pop Warner children get mandatory playing time (not just Pembroke). If a Pop Warner team has 16-25 players all children must receive at least 10 plays (Mites 12). 26-30 players 8 plays (Mites 10), 31-35 6 plays (Mites 8). Note: Special teams, kneel downs, extra points etc. do not count toward mandatory playing time. There are monitors from Pop Warner that certify your child and all other children's playing time. Participation is extremely important to Pembroke Pop Warner. We had 6 Varsity Football Teams compete in 2008: 1 Midget 1 Junior Midget 1 PeeWee 1 Junior PeeWee and 2 Mites teams _________________________________________________________________________________ Our success is not all about wins, but about learning, teaching, teamwork, having fun, fundamentals, respect, confidence, relationships, saftey, determination, resilience, improvement etc. We have been successful by surrounding the children with great coaches and great volunteers that want to see all the children participate and succeed. ___________________________________________________________________________________ General Information Ages and Weights Forms And Handouts
