PLAYER’S EDGE BASEBALL CLINICS -Gain the edge that you’ve been looking for with the highly successful Player’s Edge Baseball Clinics!! Watertown High School Baseball Coach, Joe Chiodo, and his staff of professional, collegiate and high school coaches are back for an 8th year with their lineup of 3 pre-season clinics to help every player gain the edge over the competition and get ready for the 2010 season. They will once again offer their annual pitching, hitting and spring training clinics with an added feature for this year's pitching clinic. The Player's Edge staff is excited to announce the hiring of former Swathmore College catcher and current Watertown Jr. Reds 13U AAU Assistant Coach and Catching Coordinator, Ben Mendleson, to the staff. The addition of Coach Mendleson will now expand the annual pitching clinic to now become the Player's Edge Pitcing & Catching Clinic and will be open for young catchers to learn the same professional drills and techniques that the pros, collegians and high school catchers focus on to better their skill level and become better overall receivers. Along with this exciting addtion the staff is back for another go around in 2010 and are looking forward to getting started. Like no other program around, the Player’s Edge Staff continues to offer a more one on one, personalized, low player to coach ratio at a very affordable price. Player's Edge Pitcing and Catching Clinic: February 16th, 17th, 18th - 6pm-8:30pm (10-16yr.olds) 

Player's Edge Hitting Clinic: March 12th - 5pm-8pm, March 13th&14th - 9am-12pm (8-16yr.olds)

Player's Edge Spring Training Clinic:(8-11yr.olds) March 27&28 - 1pm-4pm @ Watertown Middle School     

(12-16 yr. olds) March 27th - 1pm-4pm, March 28th - 9am-12pm @ Watertown High School.

Watertown Jr. Reds AAU Baseball Program to expand!
The Watertown Jr. Reds will expand from its current 13U team to add a 10U team for 2010 season. The club is proud to announce former Bridgewater St. MASCAC All-Conference Pitcher Chris Dargon as the teams 10U Head Coach and former Framingham St. 3B/OF Sal Mendoca as the team's assistant coach. The 10U Jr. Reds will call the former Coolidge School field home. (Also known as Sullivan Playground) The field is conveniently located directly on Rt.16/Mt. Auburn Street in East Watertown.

HOT NEWS!!! TRYOUTS FOR THE 10U JR. REDS WILL BE ON SATURDAY JANUARY 30th & FEBRUARY 6th @ 1pm in the James Russell Lowell School Gymnasium. The tryouts are FREE of charge! Must be 10 years old or younger before May 1, 2010.
