HELMETS & SHOULDER PADS  

We will be having equipment distribution (Helmets & Shoulder Pads) for all age groups on Saturday July 18th at Riley Field under the Pavillion. The times for our equipment distribution will be as follows:

Peachtree City Youth Football Association (PTCYFA) is located in Peachtree City, Georgia. PTCYFA provides boys (ages 5-14) and girls (ages 4-12) with the opportunity to participate in organized football and cheerleading. PTCYFA provides a safe, instructional environment focusing on both basic and advanced football and cheerleading skills, structured team play, sportsmanship, character building and leadership. In addition, PTCYFA provides qualified coaches that are certified through The National Youth Sports Coaches Association and trained through our structured training clinics that are provided by seasoned high school coaches and are required attendance for all head and assistant coaches. Furthermore, our program is based on a comprehensive park system manual that has been developed in conjunction with the local high school to ensure that all players are learning the proper methods of running, tackling, blocking, passing, footwork and other skills that are required to become a successful football player. Finally, our program is centered around each individual player participating in a league that allows the player to receive substantial play time during the games in a competitive environment that matches the player's ability with the competition level.

There are two methods of registration available for all participants that reside in Peachtree City or Fayette County or are returning participants from last year regardless of your place of residence. Registration is closed to out of Fayette county players that did not participate in our program last year unless you have a sibling or immediate family member participating in the program or have received a waiver to participate in our program:

Box 2285, PTC, GA. 30269. Your son will be placed on a wait list at this time. In the event that we are not able to accept your son into our league due to overcapacity or unbalanced number players in an age group then we will provide you with a full refund of your registration fees. Full refunds will only be given to wait listed players that are not accepted into our program. Normal refund policy applies to all other refund applications. Weekly Football Mini-Camps to be held every Saturday morning from 9 am-12 pm at McIntosh High School practice field beginning June 6th.  Each session will consist of 1.5 hrs of agility and skill training, half hour pep talk by prominent athlete from the air and 1 hour of touch football. There will be a total of 5 sessions on the following dates: June 6, 13,20,27 and July 11. Each session will be $20.00 at the door or $80.00 for all 5 sessions when paid in advance. • July 18, 2009 Saturday - Football equipment distribution
  • Park will furnish football helmet, game pants, game jersey and shoulder pads.
  • Player will furnish practice jersey, practice pants, football cleats (NO METAL CLEATS), white socks, pads for pants (set is about 12.00), chin strap (recommend padded chin strap) and mouth piece (all types available).
  • Equipment can be purchased at Good Sports or Hibbetts in Peachtree City, T&G's in Fayetteville and other sporting good stores in Fayette or Coweta county.
• July 20, 2009 Monday - 5-6, 7-8 y/o Football Player Evaluations starting at 5 pm
• July 21, 2009 Tuesday - 9-10, 11-12  y/o Football Player Evaluations starting at 5 pm
• July 24, 2009 Friday - Football Teams will be picked
• July 27, 2009 Monday - Football Practice begins
• August 15, 2009 Saturday - PTC Football Jamboree Time TBD (Weather Permiting)
• August 22, 2009 - Required Weigh in for all players. Time and location TBD. Must weigh in to be able to run the ball. NO EXCEPTIONS.
• August 29, 2009 - All teams will have their first game of the season
• October 2, 2009 - Friday Youth Night at McIntosh's game vs. the Fayette County Tigers
• All teams receive a bye week for labor day weekend (September 5-6, 2009)
• Last game of the regular season will be held on Oct 24th and playoffs begin either during the next week or the weekend of Oct 31st.

October 2, 2009 - Packer night with McIntosh High School Chiefs will be when the Chiefs play Fayette County at McIntosh High School Stadium. Players who wear their Jersey and one or two coaches per team will be granted free admisson, and each team will be introduced on the field prior to the start of the game.  This will be a Mandatory Event for all coaches, players and board members in our park.
