Profile: Coach Ryan joined the PDA Charge in 2008.   She was the captain of the Rutgers Soccer Team for three-straight seasons. As a red-shirt junior (2006): Served as a captain … Anchored a Scarlet Knight defense that was arguably one of the best in school history … Named Second Team All Mid-Atlantic Region by Soccerbuzz … Earned Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week accolades for the period ending Oct. 2 and the same week, earned Defensive Player of the Week honors from both the BIG EAST and the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) … Started at center back all 23 games for RU and led a team that ranked 11th in the country with a 0.50 goals-against average.
As a redshirt sophomore (2005): Started all 21 matches, taking one shot ... Was named to the Maryland/adidas Classic All-Tournament Team Sept. 8-11 ... Was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week Oct. 24 ... Helped lead a Rutgers defense that posted a 0.88 goals-against average and eight shutouts ... Served as one of the team's tri-captains ... Was named a BIG EAST Academic All-Star.
As a redshirt freshman (2004): Played in 16 matches for the Scarlet Knights, making eight starts ... Made her first career start at No. 12 Princeton Oct. 5 ... Helped organize a Rutgers defense that allowed 0.85 goal per match ... Was named a BIG EAST Academic All-Star. Prior to Rutgers: Missed her senior season at St. Mary's High School due to an injury ... As a junior, led her team to a 21-1-1 record and a national ranking of fifth, contributing 10 assists and a goal while picking up all-state, all-metro, all-county and all-conference honors ... A member of the Bethesda Dragons club team, she also was an Olympic Development Program (ODP) National Pool player and member of the ODP Regional Team in 2002, serving as Maryland's ODP State Team captain from 1999-2002.
