Grimshaw Hustlers: Welcome
The Grimshaw Hustlers have been around since 1991. When you live in a small town, players come and go and this can be very challenging. Over the years, this has meant a team roster with players ranging in age from 13 to over 50, all at various skill levles. We are constantly looking for new players to ensure that the Hustlers will always be around! Luckily, we now have a Junior Girls team which we can occasionally steal players from when we are short.last year was interesting for us. Our arena was damaged in a tornado (oops, I mean 'straight lind wind'), which prevented us from playing there all year. Luckily there was an arena nearby in Berwyn which we were able to use. Unfortunately though, the ice surface is about half the size of a regulation rink which made things a little different and meant no home games. We did however hold our home games in Hines Creek which was only about a 40 minute drive away. Faced with all these difficulties, we were still able to capture 3rd place in the Peace Country Female Hockey League.
Because of our situation last year, we had decided not to apply for Provincials, but with out like new fixed-up arena, we are raring to go and are going to work hard to place well in the league and hopefully go on to Provincials!
