Peace Country Female Hockey League: Welcome
|
|
This league consists of fifteen female hockey teams from Northern Alberta and Northern British Columbia, Canada. Our teams play in the Senior AA, A and Senior B Women's classifications in the province of Alberta and British Columbia.
This league is home to the 2004 Western Canadian Shield Champions and 2007 Senior AA Provincial Bronze Medallists, the Grande Prairie Panthers and also hosts the 2008 BC Provincial gold winners the North Peace Eagles and the 2008 Senior B silver medallists the Grimshaw Hustlers.
We have a wide variety of teams in our league both in distance and calibre and we welcome new teams to come and join our league.
If you are new to the Peace Country and would like to play hockey, please contact Cathy at this website and I will help you to find a team to play on.

NEW RECREATIONAL DIVISION 2008/2009
The league has decided to trial having a completely recreational division this season. Teams in this division will play other recreational teams only. We are trying to incorporate new teams and new ladies to the sport of hockey to be able to play in a less stressful environment in which to have fun and learn the basics.
The executive will develop the schedule and keep stats for this division as it does for all the other teams in their respective divisions.
If you are a team who might be interested in joining our league , you must come to the Fall meeting in September with a letter of intent and a cheque for Performance bond/league fees. You may also contact me (Cathy) to give me the heads up so I know roughly how many new teams will be joining. WELCOME :)
