Toronto Icedogs Fall Classic 

After a disappointing week of hockey at home gaining only 1 point out of a possible 4, this "road trip" was just what the team needed to regroup and get back to form.  An exciting opener versus the Toronto Avalanche saw PC come together to get the 4-1 win.  Tough games followed versus very competative teams from Oshawa and Orillia.  PC stuck to the game plan winning both games to sweep the round robin and finish first overall.  The semi final came down to a rematch against the Toronto Avalanche.  Both teams came to play and PC got the only goal midway through the third period and hung on for the 1-0 victory.  PC met the Oshawa Junior Generals in the finals.  PC jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first.  Oshawa then scored 3 unanswered goals to take the lead.  PC dug deep, didn't panic and once again kept their cool and stuck to the game plan and scored 3 goals in the third to take the tournament Chamionship.  Well done boys....

Markham Islanders Tournament Recap.

Another exciting tournament which saw PC fall short in the semi final game against a very competative team from West Hill.  Some great hockey and a great effort by everyone.

North London Tournament Recep.

A great weekend of hockey and a great effort by all the players.  Unforetunately, a Championship game against North London appeared to be shaping up to be a good game going scoreless after 2 periods.  Then PC appeared to be up against all odds whenever trying to build momentum, we ended up taking penalty after penalty which easily shifted the momentum in London's direction.  Unforetunately, it was simply too much to overcome.

I am very proud of our team for not giving up and playing with determination to try and make something out of the game.  It became clear we were up against more than just a good team from North London....

Richmond Hill Tournament Recap: 

What an exciting weekend of hockey.  We chose the Richmond Hill Tournament again this season because of the high caliber of hockey it always attracts.  This year it did not disappoint.  After sweeping the round robin 3-0, we found ourselves once again up against our friends from Duffield.  After falling behind 2-0, PC fought back and tied things up with the goalie out and only 2 seconds remaining on the clock, sending the game into a sudden death 3 on 3 overtime.  After 10 minutes of intense back to back action, both goalies were exceptional sending the game to a shootout.  After the fourth shooter it was Duffield that came out on top.  Although it was disappointing it was a truly exciting and great start to the season.  Fighting back in the thrid period with 2 goals was clearly a character building time for our team.

Congrats PC on a valiant effort.
