Pax River Silver Stars: About Us

The Pax River Silver Stars Girls AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) is a 501-3(c) Non-Profit organization.  The club was established in 2003 with the intent on expanding the visions, building character, self-confidence and believing in dreams for the young ladies of Southern Maryland.

The mission of the Pax River Silver Stars Basketball Organization (PRSS) is to provide the youth of Southern Maryland the opportunity to learn and enjoy the game of basketball at a highly competitive level.  The PRSS offers a program, which will develop and improve individual as well as team skills, promote good sportsmanship, promote team spirit, and encourage organization loyalty.  The PRSS demands a high degree of ethical conduct by all its coaches, players, volunteers, and parents so that it provides a good example for the community, the opponents, and participants, thus helping their growth to adulthood.  The PRSS cooperates with the recreation and parks youth basketball programs operating in St. Mary’s, Charles, and Calvert counties, as well as all the middle school and high school teams.  In accomplishing these goals, the PRSS will provide our players with additional exposure to the game of basketball thereby enhancing their opportunity to play at the middle school and high school level or beyond.  The PRSS shall strive to offer its players an opportunity to have fun playing basketball.
