D33 Little League Rules Training Clinic
February 21st and February 22nd 2012
Time:
6:00pm to 9:00pm
Location: 10323 Orleck Street, San Diego, CA 92124
Flyer: 2012 Little League Rules Training Clinic

This Little League Rules clinic is designed to provide an understanding and in-depth knowledge of the rules for Little League Baseball. This year's Rules Training will be held at the Orleck Heights District Office, located at 10323 Orleck Street, San Diego, CA 92124. We have formatted the clinics in a way that will benefit all managers, coaches and umpires. If you only attend one clinic, this is one clinic to attend. Little League Baseball has made significant changes to the 2012 rules.
We are offering 2 clinics to choose from: Tuesday February 21st the rules clinic will be geared for Umpires and League Board Members and on February 22nd the rules clinic will be for Managers and Coaches. We will review each of the rule changes in depth to prepare you for the upcoming season.  Board Members and parents are invited to attend either night. Clinics will run from 6pm-9pm each night.

On November 3, 2011, Little League International announced various Bat Rule changes which will go into effect for the upcoming 2012 season.  Each of these changes impact baseball bats only.  The link provided details the changes for each division of Little League Baseball as well as the actual verbiage to be placed into the soon to be releases 2012 Baseball Rule Book.  If changes are made or additional clarity is provided on how to enforce the rule before the start of the season the link provided will be the best method to use as you review the information.

ALBERTSON'S HELPS THE PATRIOT LEAGUE
The Patriot League does not ask our families to participate in traditional fundraisers.  Historically, we have tried to finance League activities via registration fees, and business sponsorships.  This year we have a chance to raise a significant amount of funds for the kids in Patriot League in what is an extremely low impact, non-invasive manner.

By simply shopping for groceries at Albertson's and swiping your Preferred Members card, you can contribute money to the general fund at Patriot League.  There is a sign-up sheet at the snack bar where you can simply list your name, phone number, and the number on the back of your Preferred Card.  Those three pieces of information will help us link your families grocery purchases directly to Patriot League.

Please take a minute and fill out the information the next time you are at the fields.  If you don't already have a Preferred Card from Albertson's there are applications available at the snack bar.  Take one, fill it out, and bring it to your neighborhood store.  You will then be ready to link your information to enable 1-4% of your purchases to go to the kids of our League.   It's a great way to make a difference!

PITCH COUNT
ClipBall

The number of pitches allowable under the regulation is based on the pitcher’s age.  Specific rest periods are in place when a pitcher reaches a higher threshold of pitches delivered in a day.  The table below gives an overview of the number of pitches that will be allowed per day for each age group during the season.

League Age Pitches allowed per day
17-18 105
13-16 95
11-12 85
