The Stan Gray Foundation

Thank you Stan Gray Foundation for your generous contribution to our league.
On Nov. 13, 1918 Robert Stanley Gray was born in Pasadena. Stan Gray graduated from Pasadena High School in 1936 and attended PCC where he played second base. His shortstop and double player partner was Jackie Robinson.
From 1941 to 1951 Stan Gray played professional baseball and in 1952 founded West & East Pasadena Little Leagues.
He loved baseball and recruited coaches and board members, held tryouts and helped raise money to build a baseball diamond at Allendale.
Mr. Gray worked as a budget and financial analyst for the U.S. Customs Bureau downtown. He spent his off hours starting new leagues and coaching youth baseball teams.
Stan Gray died in the spring of 2000 at Huntington Hospital at the young age of 81. When he died there were two services held to accommodate all of his friends.
Per his instructions a portion of his $2.5 million dollar estate will be allocated to Little League Baseball.
