Monday, April 3
Parsippany Hills 9 REDHAWKS 7
The Redhawks lost to the cross town rival Vikings 9 to 7 in a rain-shortend game at Parsippany Hills High School. The Redhawks were down 3 to 1 going into the 5th inning but tied it on a two run triple by Kim Rubino. The Vikings took the lead in the bottom of the inning scoring six runs. Parsippany High closed the gap to two after scoring four runs in the 6th inning. The big blow was a triple by freshman Noelle Grande. Dana Romano and Lindsay Kennedy had two hits each for the Redhawks.
Friday, April 7
Mendham 2 REDHAWKS 1
The Redhawks dropped their home opener 2 to 1 to Mendham. The Minutemen broke a scoreless tie in the top of the 5th inning plating their only two runs on an error, a walk and two infield singles. Mendham pitcher Lisa Gerolamo kept the Parsippany hitters off balance all day as they constantly chased her high fastball. The Redhawks attempted a comeback in the bottom of the 7th inning. With one out Freshman catcher Jen Nista hit her first career home run, a raising line drive that sailed over the left fielder's head. This cut the Mendham lead to one. Kelly Young singled with two outs and then stole second base. The Parsippany comeback ended with a pop up to the Mendham shortstop.
Monday, April 10
REDAWKS 3 Hanover Park 1
The Redhawks earned their first victory in 2006 by defeating the Hornets 3 to 1 at Hanover Park High School. Parsippany struck early scoring a run in the top of the first inning. With two outs Jen Nista alertly took first base after the Hornet catcher dropped the third strike. She then stole second. Kim Rubino followed with a double down the left field line driving home Nista. Hanover Park tied the score at one in the second inning. The Redhawks regained the lead in the third. Lindsay Kennedy lead off with a walk. Then with one out Nista tripled scoring Kennedy. Rubino got her second RBI of the day when she singled home Nista. This is all that Parsippany would need. Rubino, a junior right hander gave up four hits on the day, striking out eight and walking one.
Tuesday, April 11
REDHAWKS 3 Dover 0
Parsippany won its second game of the season, a 3 to 0 victory over the Tigers of Dover High School. The Redhawks scored a run during their initial at bat. With two outs catcher Jen Nista singled. Brianna Merrill entered the game to run for Nista and stole second base. Merrill later scored on Kim Rubino's single to left field. Parsippany added another run in the fourth inning when Rubino hit her first home run of the year, a towering fly ball that cleared the left field fence. The final Redhawk run came in the next inning. Freshman Noelle Grande led off with a single, stole second base and moved to third on a ground out. Kelly Young then laid down a bunt to the Dover pitcher who threw to first base. On the throw Grande sprinted home, touching the plate just under the catcher's tag. Rubino, the Redhawk junior pitcher, allowed only one hit, a lead off double in the seventh inning. The runner was eventually stranded at third when the game ended on strikeout. Rubino finished the day with nine K's and three walks.
Monday, April 17
REDHAWKS 3 Morris Hills 2
The Redhawks won their third game in a row 3 to 2 against a highly regarded Morris Hills team in dramatic fashion by scoring the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning. It was Parsippany's first home victory of the season. Morris Hills scored the first run of the game in the first inning. Both teams threatened in the second and third innings but were unable to change the score. Parsippany finally got on the score board in the fourth. Kelly Flanagan reached on an error, moved to second on a wild pitch and was sacrificed to third on Amanda Lebowitz's bunt. Carrie Whalen entered the game to run for Flanagan. Coach Dave Zaleski then called for a suicide squeeze when Stephanie Idrobo came to bat. Idrobo executed the squeeze perfectly scoring Whalen. The Redhawks scored the go ahead run an inning later. Jen Nista was hit by a pitch and then scored on a single by shortstop Lebowitz. Morris Hills tied the game in the top of the seventh, An error, single and walk loaded the bases. Morris Hills' catcher Colleen McGlynn then hit an infield single to tie the game at two. This set up the Parsippany's thrilling victory in the bottom of the seventh. Kelly Young led off and reached on an error. Jen Nista followed with a sacrifice bunt but a terrific play by the Morris Hills infield cut Young down at second. Nista advanced to second on a walk to Kim Rubino who followed her. Then Kelly Flanagan ended the game with a hard hit single to center field bring home Nista with the winning run.

REDHAWKS 14 Weequahic 0
Parsippany won its fourth game in a row by beating the Indians of Weequahic High School 14 to 0. Sophomore Christina Deleasa pitched a no hit, no run game striking out nine and walking three.
Friday, April 21
REDHAWKS 5 Hopatcong 1
Parsippany continued it's winning way with a 5 to 1 victory over Hopatcong under the lights at Smith Field. The Hawks struck early scoring three runs in the first inning. Lindsay Kennedy, Kelly Young and Kim Rubino reached base on a walk, an error and base hit respectively and were driven in on hits by Amanda Lebowitz and Carrie Whalen. Parsippany scored two more runs in the sixth inning when Noelle Grande tripled and scored on Young's double. Young later scored on Jen Nista's single. Rubino pitched a complete game giving up three hits and recording seven K's. She did not walk a batter.
Friday, April 21
REDHAWKS 6 Chatham 5 (8 innings)
Parsippany won it's sixth game in a row by beating Chatham 6 to 5 in extra innings. Parsippany looked as if it would easily cruise to the win after grabbing a 3 to 0 lead by the end of the second inning. However, three Chatham hits and three Red Bird errors in the third inning allowed Chatham to tie the game. Parsippany took the lead again in the fifth inning on Jen Nista's second home run of the season and added another run in the sixth when Carrie Whalen brought home Noelle Grande on a bunt. But Chatham came back scoring a run in the sixth and then one in the bottom of the seventh to send the game into extra innings. With one out in the eight Parsippany's freshman Noelle Grande got her third hit of the day. She then stole second and went to third on a ground out. Christina Deleasa drove home the eventual game winner with a hit to right field. Kim Rubino pitched all eight innings giving up ten hits while striking out six and walking one.
Thursday, April 27
REDHAWKS 6 Parsippany Hills 1
The winning streak now extended to seven games! The Redhawks avenged their opening day loss to Parsippany Hills by defeating the Vikings 6 to 1. Parsippany High scored early with a run in the first inning. Lindsay Kennedy led off the game with a walk which was followed by a single by Kelly Young. Jen Nista successfully sacrificed them to second and third. Lindsay then scored on Kim Rubino's fielder's choice to short stop. The Redhawks put the game away in the third inning scoring five runs. Young walked and and Nista and Rubino then followed with singles. Kelly Flanagan was then hit by a pitch bringing home one run. Amanda Lebowitz and Noelle Grande each reached base on a fielder's choice driving in runs. Carrie Whalen hit was misplayed that plated the final two scores of the inning. Rubino pitched the entire game giving up a meaningless run in the seventh inning. She let up four hits, struck out five and walked one.
Sunday, April 30
West Essex 2 REDHAWKS 0
The Redhawks saw their winning streak end at seven when West Essex defeated them 2 to 0. The game was a pitching dual between West Essex's Danielle Bertscha and Parsippany's Kim Rubino. Both pitchers surrendered only two hits each. Bertscha struck out eleven and walked none while Rubino had ten K's and one walk. West Essex scored the only runs of the game in the third inning thanks to a two out Parsippany error. Jen Nista and Kelly Flanagan had the only two hits of the day for the Redhawks.
Sunday, April 30
REDHAWKS 4 St. Elizabeth 3 (MCT)
The ninth seeded Redhawks squeaked past the 24th seed St. Elizabeth team 4 to 3 in the first round of the Morris County Tournament. St. E's scored first, a run in the second inning. Parsippany took the lead in the fifth scoring two runs. St. Elizabeth came right back in the sixth with two runs of their own to take a 3-2 lead. Parsippany tied the game in the sixth as Amanda Lebowitz scored on an error by the catcher. The Redhawks then won the game as Kim Rubino's sacrifice fly with no outs in the bottom of the seventh scored Lindsay Kennedy. Rubino finished the day on the mound with 10 strikeouts and gave up three hits.
Tuesday, May 2
Mendham 4 REDHAWKS 3 (8 innings)
Parsippany lost a heartbreaker to Mendham 4 to 3 in eight innings. Mendhan grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first inning on a walk and an error. Parsippany tied the game in the third on a sacrifice fly by Kelly Young. The Redhawks then took a one run lead in the top of the seventh as Carrie Whalen drove home Noelle Grande with a single. Mendham tied the game at two with a run in the bottom of the inning. Parsippany recaptured the lead in the eighth on Kim Rubino's sacrifice fly that scored Young. Mendham ended the game in the bottom of the eight scoring two unearned runs.
Tuesday, May 2
REDHAWKS 10 Boonton 0 (5 innings)
The Redhawks had their most productive offensive game of the year as they defeated Boonton 10 to 0 in a night game at Smith Field. Kelly Young's two run triple in the fourth followed by Kim Rubino's two run single broke the game open for Parsippany. Rubino finished the night with 9 K's and yielded only one hit.
Friday, May 5
Morris Hills 10 REDHAWKS 0 (MCT)
The Redhawks were eliminated from the 2006 Morris County Tournament by Morris Hills by a score of 10-0. Parsippany managed only one hit, a single by Lindsay Kennedy leading off the game. Seven of Morris Hills tens runs were unearned.
Friday, May 5
Morris Catholic 9 REDHAWKS 6
The Redhawks dropped their second game in a row, a 9 to 6 loss to Morris Catholic. Parsippany got an early lead in the first inning scoring two runs on a single by Lindsay Kennedy, a walk to Jen Nista and a single by Kim Rubino. Morris Catholic took a 3-2 lead in the second scoring three unearned runs. They then added six more runs in the third. Parsippany battled back scoring a run in the third and three more in the sixth but it was not enough to overcome the lead Morris Catholic had built earlier in the game.
Monday, May 8
Dover 10 REDHAWKS 2
The Redhawks dropped a 10 to 2 decision to the Dover High School Tigers at PHS. Parsippany held a 2 to 1 lead in the fourth inning thanks to a single by Kelly Young, a walk to Kim Rubino and a sacrifice by Kelly Flanagan. However Dover scored five runs in the fifth to take the lead for good.
Monday, May 8
Morris Hills 7 REDHAWKS 4
The Redhawks were beat by Morris Hills 7 to 4 in Iron Hills Conference play. Morris Hills scored six runs in the second inning on seven hits. Parsippany mounted a comeback scoring a run in the sixth. Jen Nista reached on an error and was brought home on Kim Rubino's third triple of the year. Parsippany added three more runs in the seventh when Lindsay Kennedy tripled home Carrie Whalen. She then scored on Nista's misplayed ball. The final run was plated thanks to Rubino's second hit of the day.

Whippany Park 7 REDHAWKS 0
The Redhawks lost to the MCT semifinalist Whippany Park team by a score of 7-0 at Smith Field. Parsippany managed only four hits against the WP pitcher- singles by Amanda Lebowticz, Kim Rubino and Mina Ra and a double by Kelly Young.
Thursday, May 11
REDHAWKS 14 Weequachic 0 (5 innings)
The Redhawks ended their four game slide by beating Weequahic High School by a score of 14-0. It was the tenth win of the year for Parsippany making this the fifth straight year that the team has achieved double digit victories in a season. Parsippany put the game away early by scoring ten runs in the first inning. Kim Rubino and Christina Delesa combined on a no-hitter with ten strikeouts in a short five inning game.

West Essex 4 REDHAWKS 0
Parsippany lost to West Essex for the second time in 2006 by a score of 4 to 0. West Essex pitcher Danielle Bertscha surrendered only four hits and struck out fifteen Redhawk batters.

REDHAWKS 11 Hanover Park 1 (6 innings)
The Redhawks beat Hanover Park by a score of 11 to 1, sweeping the season series for the second straight year. Parsippany score two runs in the first inning on walks to Lindsay Kennedy, Kim Rubino and Noelle Grande and a hit by Amanda Lebowitz. They added two more in the third on a triple by Rubino and singles by Grande and Dana Romano. The final blow came in the sixth inning. Leading by a score of 9 to 1 at this point Kennedy laced a single to right with the bases loaded driving home the final two runs to give Parsippany a ten run lead that ended the game. Jen Nista was two for four with a home run and a triple. The homer was the young catcher's third of the year.

REDHAWKS 6 Summit 3 (Game 1)
The Redhawks one the fist game of their double header with Summit 6 to 3. Parsippany scored three runs in the fourth inning to on Kim Rubino's double, Noelle Grande's triple and Dana Romano's single. This gave the Redhawks a 4 to 1 lead. Rubino and Christina Delesa combined on a three hitter.
Monday, May 22
REDHAWKS 9 Summit 8 (Game 2)
Parsippany held off a late game rally by Summit to win the second game of their double header 9 to 8, sweeping both games. The Redhawks held a 9 to 2 lead in the fourth inning. However, Summit scored five runs in the fifth inning and added another one in the seventh. The game ended on a ground ball back to pitcher Kim Rubino with the tieing run on third.
Tuesday, May 23
Cliffside Park 2 REDHAWKS 1 (State Tournament)
Cliffside Park High School. Cliffside Park scored their two runs in the second inning on three singles. The second run score when the third single of the inning was misplayed in the outfield. Parsippany's run came in the fourth inning. Kelly Young reached base on an error and later scored on Kim Rubino's fielder's choice.

REDHAWKS 7 Chatham 6
The Redhawks capped the 2006 season with a thrilling 7-6 come from behind victory over Chatham. Chatham took a quick 4 to 0 lead scoring runs in the first, second and fourth innings. Parsippany cut their lead to one with three runs of its own in the bottom of the fourth. Jen Nista lead off the inning with a single. Amanda Lebowitcz and Briana Merrill followed her with singles of their own to load the bases. Dana Romano drove in the first run with a hit and Noelle Grande forced in the second run when she was walked with the bases loaded. Lindsay Kennedy brought home the third run of the inning with her second hit of the day. Chatham quickly responded scoring two unearned runs in the top of the fifth. This set the stage in the bottom of the seventh for Parsippany's dramatic win. With one out Lebowitcz singled. It looked as if Chatham would secure the win as the next batter popped up to the second basemen. Romano, the next batter, kept the inning alive when she walked. Christina Deleasa followed with a hard single up the middle, loading the bases. Grande then ripped a double down the left field line scoring two runs. Kennedy and Kelly Young followed with walks. Young's walk forced in the tieing run. Nista ended the game with a single to left driving in Grande with the winning run. Parsippany pitcher Kim Rubino gave up six hits and struck out nine.
