County Worker for Dow 1 - David Reynolds - Passes Away on Monday July 6th, 2009
Parkwood Little League relies on Harris County Precint One to help us keep our league running smoothly. We count on many individuals with the county, but none more than the individual park attendents that are there day in and day out doing the jobs that help us to create a friendly clean atmosphere for all our kids, parents and families. This Monday July 6th... Parkwood Little League lost a valuable member of our team as one of those key attendants, David Reynolds, passed away on the job at Dow 1 Park. We are not sure of the cause of death, but we send out condolenses and prayers to his friends and family. He is survived by his wife and two children. We will post official funeral arrangements on the web when they are available.

A Harris County Precinct 1 park attendant died Monday after he was found unconscious in a ditch near where he was mowing at Dow 1 Park, 15401 Greendale. There were no signs of foul play.David Reynolds, 48, of Houston, whose push mower’s engine was still running, was discovered by a homeless man who frequents the park. The homeless man, William Hart, notified Victor Medrano, the Dow 1 Parkwood National Little League president, who then called 911.
Two deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office park units responded to the call around 4:15 p.m. They found Reynolds unresponsive and called Harris County paramedics, who pronounced Reynolds dead at 4:34 p.m.
The exact cause of death has not been determined.
Reynolds began his employment with Harris County Precinct 4 on Dec. 12, 1983. He transferred to Precinct 1 in 1993 when commissioners’ precincts were redistricted after the 1990 U.S. Census. He worked for several parks in Precinct 1 until he decided in 1993 to remain in the north region parks, which include Dow 1, Crowley and Deussen.
