2009 Annual Meeting of the Members Minutes.


The Annual Meeting of the Members of the Local League was held after the final week of the regular season, as determined by the President of the League each year for the purpose of electing new Members, electing the Board of Directors, receiving reports, reviewing the Constitution, appointing committees, and for the transaction of such business as may properly come before the meeting.

Determined a Quorum Exists (at least 18 members were present, i.e. twice the number of current board of directors.)

Meeting was brought to Order:    1st: Victoria Flores 2nd: Maria Vasquez

Secretary David Collins and President Victor Medrano Presiding

  (a). The Membership received the annual report at the Annual Meeting of the Members of the Local League, verified by the President and Treasurer, or by a majority of the Directors:  The report reflected actual expenses and revenues from park operations along with other operating information.

(b).The Park Constitution for the year 2010 was brought to a vote for approval/acceptance by the annual meeting attendants.  No changes were made in the Constitution from 2009 to 2010, so the copy approved and verified, and recorded with SW Regional Headquarters will remain in effect. Motion to bring Constitution up for approval for year 2010 was made: 1st Albert Flores 2nd Fred CoritaVote was taken:  2 Members Opposed Remaining Members For Approval.  Motion Carried – Constitution is approved for year 2010. (c). The Members then determined the number of Directors to be elected for the ensuing year and then did elect such number of Directors. The number of Directors elected shall be not less than six (6).                 (d). After the Board of Directors is elected, the Board shall meet to elect the officers. After the election, the Board of Directors shall assume the performance of its duties on September 1st of the current year. The Board’s term of office shall continue until its successors are elected and qualified under this section.  (e). The Officers of the Board of Directors shall include, at a minimum, the President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, one or more Player Agents, Information Officer, Safety Officer, Umpire in Chief and/or Coaching Coordinator 
  1. The presiding board members turned the meeting over to District Official(s) for purposes of conducting election.

  1. After determining the executive board positions the board then under the direction of the new League President appointed from other general election nominees the following additional junior board members or Committee Chairs as necessary and possible.

    4. VP Juniors/Seniors – Terry Garza
    5. Equipment Manager – JC Avalos

  1. The 2010 Board of Directors were then announced to the Annual Meeting Attendants.
