Parkwood National Little League: My Site News: Parkwood's 11/12 Year Old All Star Team are the 2008 District 25 Champions

 Parkwood's 11/12 Year Old All Star Team are the 2008 District 25 Champions, after defeating Huffman 14-4 on the Fourth Of July.

This is the first time the 11/12 year old team has won District 25 in the entire history of the league that dates back to the 1970's.

The team competed in sectionals against Districts 14, 15, and 16 over the weekend of July 11-14th. They lost two hard fought games to a very deep and big Pearland team, and beat Baytown Eastside in a elimination game on thier last at bat on Saturday July 12th. Ryan Ramos hit a two run triple with 2 outs in the sixth inning to bring home Spencer Collins and QJ Williams in a win that sent Baytown Eastside home from the tournament. The following night the boys could not get anything going against Pearland, and were eliminated 8-1. Bellaire ultimately beat Pearland 16-15 the next night and moved on to the State Championship.

The Team is managed by Chris Portillo and David Collins.
