PARKWEST OUTLAWS - 0      SOURIS SABERS - 6

A milestone game as we did not give up a touchdown in the 6-0 loss.  Karl Chastko (who is a nominee for league outstanding defensive player) had another big game with 14 tackles.  Veteran Cody Slimmon had a breakout game at middle linebacker with 13 tackles. Aaron tanner had 7 tackles  while playing  defensive line. Devin Allen had 2 QB sacks from the corner position while playing defense and a couple of fumble recoveries. Special teams were a big factor in the game. The Souris kicker had a strong leg and booted a single point through the endzone on the opening kickoff.  We gave up a safety when a long snap went over our punter's head through the endzone but on the ensuing kickoff Justin Darr successfully pulled off a short kick which gave us the ball back.  The Souris punter gave us tough field position all evening. Souris picked up their other three points on a field goal. Devin Allen ran back a missed field goal 50 yards to midfield. Our offense was not without it's highlights.  Any time you hold a team without a TD your offence must have been chewing up yards keeping theirs off the field. Jordan Stewart had another fine game completing 14/22 passes for 122 yards to 5 different receivers namely Nolan Clark, Shaun Hunter, Jordan Nernberg and Reg Waddell. A favorite target was Devin Allen with 5 catches for 87 yards. Nolan Clark had another strong day rushing the ball with 18 carries for 91 yards.  The Outlaws are hosting an undefeated Dauphin in a Sunday afternoon game in Shoal Lake. We will host the league consolation final the the weekend of Oct29/30 depending on availability of refs.

 PARKWEST 14 - SOUTHWEST 25

A tough loss to division rival Souris after building a 14-0  lead. Defensively we collapsed and gave up a couple of big runs after Karl Chastko had to come out of game. Then we had trouble hanging on to the ball and two fumbles were returned for touchdowns. Offensively Nolan Clark had 14 carries for 98 yards. Jordan Stewart was 7/16 for 90 yards including a 25 yard TD toss to Devin Allen.   Defensively nose tackle James Hunkin picked up a fumble and rumbled 35 yards for a touchdown.  Karl Chastko had 8 tackles followed by Mike Matiation with 7 tackles and an interception. Kody Judd and Aaron Tanner both had 6 tackles.  Devin Allen picked up an interception playing defense.  Travis Dreilich had 5 tackles and 1 sack.   Next home game changed to Oct 5 at 4:30. Souris is coached by former wheat king goalie Brian Elder.  Dauphin has not given up any points this year and has not scored fewer than 55.  Dauphin visits Shoal Lake Sun Oct 23 at 2:00pm.
