We are proud to be a Parkville Recreation Center supported team. We are also a member of, and compete in, the Maryland Junior Wrestling League (MJWL) in the Lehigh Division!

The 2009-2010 Parkville Wrestling Club's REGISTRATIONS will be held before EVERY wrestling practice (@ Parkville High School) beginning November 2nd. Practice are held most Mondays, Wednesdays & Thursdays from 6:00 - 8:30pm.
You can still register up until December 31st!

REGISTRATION: You can register throughout the season until Jan. 15th, however, the earlier you begin practicing, the better prepared you will be for the upcoming season.

COST: $60 per child; $50 for 2nd family member & $10 minimum for raffle tickets per family. (Please bring a photo copy of your child’s birth certificate with you to registration. This will not be returned to you).
LOCATIONS: Home matches @ Parkville High School Gymnasium
(2600 Putty Hill Ave.) Practices held in the “Wrestling” room (next to the gym).
Matches and Tournaments occur on weekend dates (schedules to come).
Season runs from Mid/late October through early March.

HOWEVER, WE STILL MADE IT TO THE DUAL MEET CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR A FOURTH STRAIGHT YEAR, FINISHING FOUTH OVERALL OUT OF TWENTY ONE TEAMS IN THE MJWL!! We also finished 3rd in the prestigious Navy/Lehigh MJWL Tournament!!!
- DEFEATING WARRIORS LEHIGH (48-40) FIRST TIME IN TEN YEARS!
- DEFEATING BOYS LATIN (54-46) HARD FOUGHT!

DUAL MEET CHAMPIONSHIPS @ OWINGS MILLS HIGH SCHOOL...
- PRELIMINARY MATCH: DEFEATED MANCHESTER NAVY (47-30) WE HAVEN'T LOST TO A NAVY TEAM IN OVER FOUR YEARS!
- QUARTERS FINALS: DEFEATED OWINGS MILLS (42-41) AVENGING AN EARLIER DEFEAT THIS SEASON WHEN WE WERE SHORT-HANDED!
- SEMI-FINALS: LOST A HARD FOUGHT MATCH (49-24) AGAINST THE WARRIORS LEHIGH. WE DEFEATED THEM OUR FIRST MATCH OF THE SEASON!
- CONSTELLATION FINALS: AFTER BEING THE ONLY TEAM TO WRESTLE FOUR STRAIGHT MATCHES, AND MAKE IT OUT OF THE FIRST ROUND ALL THE WAY TO THE LAST ROUND, OUR OVERWORKED, EXHAUSTED TEAM LOST TO THE NUMBER ONE SEED, MANCHESTER LEHIGH, (54-24)!
OVERALL, A VERY SUCCESSFUL TOURNAMENT FOR PARKVILLE!!!

Goes out to Michael Green for becoming PARKVILLE JUNIOR WRESTLING'S first Maryland/Virginia State Champion in over a decade!

Mike Green went undefeated for the entire season winning EVERY Tournament (including winning Outstanding Wrestler at the Rhino Invitational) he entered and representing not only Parkville but also the MJWL as their 170lb. ALL-STAR!
Mike will be taking his wrestling prowness to St. Paul's School next year where he will be attending on a FULL Wrestling Scholarship! Way to go!!

2005 MIDDLE ATLANTIC SOUTHERN DISTRICT TOURNAMENT!!!
Captain Josh Fulks competed in this important National qualifying tournament in Salisbury, Maryland on April 9th.
The Results...
Josh pinned his first three opponents and four out of six for a fourth place finish! He will be traveling to Penn State University this weekend to compete in the 2005 Middle Atlantic Eastern National Championships!

Captain Josh Fulks competed in the MAWA National Championships this past weekend @ Penn State University... He recorded two pins on his way to an eighth place finish! Giving him a new title: ALL AMERICAN!
