These programs are designed to provide a healthy and enjoyable leisure experience for your child. However, these programs are not designed to provide childcare. Therefore, parents are encouraged to discuss attendance expectations with their children. Department staff cannot detain youth wishing to leave at any time. Should you require special accommodations (i.e. sign language interpreter, large print, etc?) Parkville Recreation Extended Cheer
Attention all cheerleaders. We are now taking registrations for the 2009-10 season of Extended Cheer. If you are
interested in joining a squad there are spaces available for 6 and under, 10 and under, and also for 14 and under.
Spaces are limited. The coaches for this extended season are as follows:
6 to 4 - Angel Fox and Tyra Johnson
10 to 7 - Brook and Brittany Reese
14 to 11 - Jacquie Guercio, Sheila Cloude, and Tierra Henson
Practices will be held twice a week on Wednesdays from 6-8pm at Parkville Middle School and Sundays from 12-3pm (1-3pm for 6 - 4) at the Parkville Rec. Center beginning December 6, 2009. The registration fee is $180.00 which includes all competition registration fees except for US Final. US Finals pricing per participant is determined on what place the cheerleaders take for the bid to Nationals at their other competitions.
There will be 4-5 competitions once a month starting in the month of January 2010. Extended season starts in December and ends in the beginning of May. The last competition will be the US Finals in Virginia Beach if the Cheerleaders win a bid to Nationals.
We will have a few fundraisers during the season which will help with the cost of things such as apparel, hotels stays, and registration fees for US Finals.
The date and time for registration is November 21 from 10-12 at the Parkville Rec Center.

Brook Spicer @ 443-286-2285 or at Cheerleading practices for regular season. The registration fee may be paid in payments but must be paid in full by December 12, 2009. I will also be taking registrations at Spirit Day Nov. 1, 2009 .When paying for your cheerleader, cash is preferable but checks can be made payable to PRC. No credit cards please.

Dog Obedience Classes
We are presently conducting three (3) series of DOG OBEDIENCE CLASSES a year with time out for Holidays and no classes during the summer. Each series consists of eight (8) weeks of instructions plus a graduation night with certificates awarded.
