PARVILLE LACROSSE LOSES TWO FORMER PLAYERS

Two former players have passed away recently.  Steve Linthicum who graduated in 1983 left us on September 18th .  Steve was a JUCO All American attack player, passed away on Sunday Sept 18th while swimming a triathlon.  He had heart failure during the swim.

On October 2nd, Ben Nickerson left us aftr a battle with cancer.  Ben was a graduate of 2003.

The annual Alumni game will be held on May 7th at 10:00 at the lacrosse field at Parkville.  If you cn make it let me know.  Remember about the $25 donation to play.

KNIGHTS WIN SEASON OPENER

Parkville hosted the Carver Wildcats and came away with an 11 to 0 victory.  Goalie Bryan Marsiglia made 5 saves in the game to earn the shutout.  COLE CATRON and CHRIS SMITH each had an assist in the game.  Leading the scorers were James Gordon with 3 goals, Catron and Zeke Elliott each with two and Chris Smith, Tom Smith, Christian Wise and Ethan Brooks each having single goals on the day.  Wise and Elliott combined to win 14 of 15 face-offs.

EVENS WIN IN ALUMNI GAME

The fifth annual Parkville Alumni game was played with the Even years coming out ahead by a score of 7 to 4.  Jason Brown led all scorers with 2 goals.  Zach Wyatt, Jared Newman, Russ Tutt, Dan Kaskel, and Chris Cook each had single goals for the victors.  Chris Cook had a single assist.  Scoring fo the odd years were Bob Richardson, Mike Lark, John Marking, and Mike Czajkowski. 

Mike Shock from "THUNDER CREEK" sports apparel donated shirts for the teams.  Mike we appreciate your generosity in the donation in support of the program.

BLUE BIRDS FLY BY KNIGHTS

Parkville hosted the Kenwood bluebirds and fell 7 to 2.  Tom Smith had 1 save in the game while Zeke Elliott had Parkville's 2 goals.  Bryan Marsiglia continues to impress by making 24 saves in the contest.

Friday, April 1
INDIANS SCALP KNIGHTS

Parkville hosted the Franklin Indians and lost a 10 to 3 decision.  Bryan Marsiglia made 10 saves in the goal and Zeke Elliott won 8 of 13 face-offs during the game.  Goals were scored by Chris Smith, Bryan Marsiglia and Zeke Elliott.  Tom Smith, Ethan Brooks and Elliott each had 7 groundballs on the day. 

Thursday, April 7
COMETS OVER KNIGHTS

Parkville traveled to Catonsville and lost a 10 to 1 decision.  Parkville was down 1 to 0 after the first quarter and 5 to 0 at halftime.  The defense played well the entire night against one of the best teams they have faced this year.  Bryan Marsiglia had 12 saves while in the goal and also scored the only goal on an extra man play.  Christian Wise won 3 of 5 faceoffs while Zeke Elliott won 3 of 8.  Elliott also led the team with 9 groundballs and Zach Brannock led the defense with 7.
