Parkland Community Basketball League: Welcome

Welcome to the Parkland Community Basketball website. This year we celebrate our 20th year running a community basketball program and we are looking forward to another great season this year!

If you aren't familiar with our league it is a recreational, co-ed league for players born from 1994 to 2004. Each team has a weekly practice during the week and a refereed league game on Saturday. All registered players are placed on a team and all recieve equal playing time. All divisions run from September until March, except the Juvenile (high school) division that only runs until end of November. Registration fees are $175 per player ($90 for juvenile division) or $350 for family registration.

Our open registration nights are August 25, Sept 6 and Sept 13 from 6-9pm at the Tri-Liesure Center.

Registration forms are attached below. Please download for more info on our divisions, cost and timing. There is a general registration form for kids born from years 2004 through 1994. There is a different juvenile registration form for high-school teens as that season is much shorter. Also take a look at the attached document with description of volunteer positions so that you can decide if that is something that you can help us out with.

Also note that there is subsidies available for financially challenged families through KidSport Parkland. Please contact them at 780-963-8591 for more information on this.

If you have registered, please don't miss the evaluation nights. These help us make the teams as even as possible. It is no fun for anyone to have teams that win or lose by large margins. Each player needs to come with a water bottle and be ready to play basketball. The evaluation nights are as follows:

Peewee - (born 2003, 2004)  Monday September 19, 6-7:30 at St. Joseph's School

Mini - (born 2001, 2002) Tuesday September 20, 6:00-7:30 at Brookwood School

Bantam - (born 1999, 2000) Monday Sept. 19 & Tuesday Sept. 20,  7-8:30 at Broxton Park School

Midget - (born 1997, 1998)  Monday Sept. 19 & Tuesday Sept. 20,  7-8:30 at Greystone School

Juvenile - (born 1994-1996) Thursday Sept. 22, 7-8:30 at  Greystone School
