Number one South defeated number two Huntington 42-16 in the Patriot's final dual meet of the season. The win extended South's consecutive duals wins streak to eighty-one.
Lance Hill (103) stole the show as he took out Huntington's two-time defending champion, #1 ranked Justin Riggs in the opener to set the table for the blowout win to follow. South then went on to win the next four in a row which included a pivotal win by Jordan Quiocho (130) with a pin over defending state champion Justin Arthur. In the 119 class top ranked David Jeffrey completely controlled the match to defeat #3 Josh Canterbury 5-0.
Bryce Gainer (112) had the fastest pin of the night 27 seconds into the first period. Pins were also recorded by Tyler Karcher (125), Caleb Norman (140), and Steve Brogle (189).
