This week in the Major League:
The Bulldogs continued their hot play and remained in sole possession of first place with a record of 7-1 even while suffering their first defeat of the season at the hands of the second place Hurricanes. The Bulldogs did handle the Irish this week prior to the loss to the 'Canes
The Hurricanes remain in second place but now are in a tiw with LSU for that spot. The Hurricanes suffered a tight game loss to the Wildcats prior to coming up big against the previously undefeated Bulldogs. The LSU Tigers beat Florida and the Irish to bring them into a second place tie with matching 5-2 records.
The Wildcats are only 1 game off the second place teams followed by the Gators, Seminoles, Tarheels and the Irish.
This week in the American League:
The Wildcats remain undefeated by edging out the Gators and beating the Seminoles to stand at 5-0 while LSU.
Chasing down the Wildcats are LSU and the Irish both with 3-3 records. LSU beat the Hurricanes but in a battle for second place, took a loss against the Irish. The Irish won twice this week to pull into second with wins against LSU and the Bulldogs.
The remaining teams are all tightly packed. The Seminoles and Bulldogs are tied for 4th, followed by the Gators, Tarheels and the Hurricanes.

Anyone interested in coaching, managing or helping on the field in any way must complete the 2009 Little League Volunteer Application prior to the start of the season. The application can be accessed by clicking and downloading the file from the bottom of this message or through the "Handouts" section.
