Parents Association After School Program
The Parents Association is pleased to announce that it is now taking applications for the Fall 2005 After School Program for the children of P.S. 175. Session I will start on Monday, September 12, 2005 and ends on Friday, December 23, 2005.
Please return the application to your child's teacher by June 15th, 2005. Late applications are subject to an additional fee of $25.00 to cover administrative costs.
Classes are held Monday through Friday from 3:00PM to 6:00PM. You have the option of picking up your child(ren) at 5:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. The classes are approximately one hour long and conducted by teachers and aides. The program will not meet on half days or school holidays/vacations or special Board of Education closings. Please complete and sign one Registration Form and one Schedule for each child. Circle the classes your child would like. Class size is limited and is on a 'first come first served basis'. There will be no make-up class if your child is absent. Return the completed forms with a deposit of $100.00. If your fee is less than that for the session, please pay in full at time of registration.
The cost of the program depends on the number of days per week and the pick up time you choose. The fees stated are per child for the entire session. For example if you choose to send your child for five days until 6:00 p.m., your total cost, for Session I, would be $585.00 (or approx $39.00 per week). In addition there is a $10.00 registration fee per session. Please note that for the Chess club there is an additional fee of $25.00 per session and for Future Chefs, there is an additional fee of $10.00.
Choose your classes carefully. We will not make any changes in the schedule after September 19, 2005! If you receive a schedule that is different than what you requested, it is because the class has filled up or it has been cancelled. Your child must attend the classes that he/she is assigned to.
Refunds will only be given if a written notice of cancellation is received in the P.A. mailbox by September 19, 2005. The $10.00 registration fee is never refundable. Checks are to be made payable to PA of P.S. 175. A fee of $25.00 will be imposed for all returned checks.
You must be prompt when picking up your child. The cafeteria door opens at 10 minutes to the hour. Parents will be charged a late fee on the basis of $50/hour with a minimum of $12.50 after 6:00 PM for each time they arrive late. Repeated late pick-up is cause for dismissal from the program. All late fees and/or payments owed from the prior session must be paid or you will not be allowed to register.
