CONGRATULATIONS TO PANTANO LL SECOND PLACE YANKEES
Yankees Upset Cubs, Advance to Finals
The Yanks faced down their third elimination challenge on Wednesday night. They answered the challenge with a 4-2 upset the #2 seed Cubs.
CJ Rodriguez turned in another excellent 6 innings pitching, and stingy defense by the infield held the Cubs to 2 runs and 1 base hit.
The Yanks take the field in the Championship round on Friday night.
Yankees Blank Rangers, Clinch 3rd
Almost perfect pitching and rock solid defense gave the Yanks a 1-hit shutout against the Rangers. Starter Steven Avetissian pitched 3 perfect innings, capping it off with the 3-strike out third,paving the way for reliever Joey Amadori who closed it out with three innings of 1 hit ball. The Yanks defense backed up the pitching, retiring 10 would be base runners, including a spectacular double play combo between Mitchel Pitney and Kris Drozd.
The Yanks meet the Cubs in the semi-finals on Wednesday. Yankees Stay Alive Against Tough Orioles Team
A quick four run first inning and tough defense against the Orioles kept the Yanks post season dreams alive.
Joey Amadori, CJ Rodriguez and Adam Borboa teamed up to hold the Orioles to 3 runs. Andres Castillo provided solid catching to hold the Orioles runners.
The Yanks will play the Rangers on Monday night. Yankees Battle, Fall to Diamondbacks in Game 2 Solid defense and excellent pitching gave the Yankees a lot to be happy about, but weren't enough to stop the undefeated Diamondbacks.
Starter CJ Rodriguez turned in 3 excellent innings of all-but overpowering 3-hit ball and reliever Joey Amadori confused and confounded the Dbacks. The Yankees got off to a quick start in the 1st when Ty Pennington singled followed by a triple smoked by CJ Rodriguez but weren't able to produce after that.
The Yankees defense showed its stuff with solid play that held a potent D'backs offense to 9 hits.
The Yankees will meet the Orioles on Saturday at 7:30 pm. Yankees Win Game 1 on CJ Rodriguez 3 Run Homer
The Yankees won their first round tournament game in dramatic fashion with a 3-run walk-off home run delivered by CJ Rodriguez to defeat the 6th seeded Marlins.
The home-run capped off a great all-around team win.  Starting pitcher Steven Avetissian delivered 4 quality innings to hold the Marlins to 3 runs.  Reliever Mitchell Pitney came in to shut the door on a shakey 5th inning.  Closer Joey Amadori provided a 1-2-3 6th, paving the way for the exciting home half of the sixth.
The surging Yanks delivered 9 hits, including several multi-baggers from Bryce Larson, Mitch Pitney and a clutch RBI single from Ty Pennington.  Speedy base running by Spencer Blondeaux, and solid defensive play from Kris Drozd and Ian Janis rounded out an exciting team victory.
The Yanks go up against the Diamondbacks in the 2nd round.
