PANTANO LITTLE LEAGUE: Spring 2010 Divisions

T-Ball
The Tee Ball Division is an extension of the local Little League to accommodate participants league ages 5-6 and will utilize the batting tee. Each team bats its entire roster each inning, regardless of outs. The focus is on learning fundamental skills and developing a love for baseball. For safety reasons, sliding is not allowed.

Pre-Minor
Our Pre-Minor division is for younger players with less experience. The minor league players are ages 7-8. Exception can be made for players age 6 with one year of Little League experience. This division's season is comprised of the first half of the season is "coach pitch" and the second half is "player pitch." Rosters may be composed of between 12 and 20 players, but most leagues have rosters in the 12-15 range. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet. For safety reasons, SLIDING IS NOT ALLOWED.

Minor
Our Minor division is for younger players with less experience. The minor league players are ages 9-12. This division's season is comprised of all "player pitch." Rosters may be composed of between 12 and 20 players, but most leagues have rosters in the 12-15 range. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet.

Major
Our Major division is for boys and girls ages 10-12. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet. Our "All Stars" teams are chosen from this division and the team may enter the International Tournament.

Junior
Our Junior division is a program for boys and girls ages 13-14, using a conventional 90-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 60 feet, 6 inches. The local league has an option to choose a Tournament Team (or "All Stars") of 13-14-year-olds from within this division (and/or from within the Senior League Division), and the team may enter the International Tournament.
