PAL RANGERS WIN CCYB WORLD SERIES IN ORANGE COUNTY CALIFORNIA!!
With amazing pitching and defensive web gems,the Rangers shocked the West Coast with a dominating week long performance by becoming the 14U Division Champions,in this nationally touted tournament.
All the practices and everything the players learned over the last 15 weeks came into play during this tournament.The usually strong bats came alive in the semi final and championship games.
The Ranger defense gave up 15 runs in the 8 game series and scored 59 runs,with 26 runs coming in the last two games.

THE PAL RANGERS SCORE 40 RUNS AND GIVE UP ONLY 2,WITH 3 SHUTOUTS IN FOUR GAMES. EVERY PLAYER MADE CONTRIBUTIONS BOTH DEFENSIVELY AND OFFENSIVELY. THE FINAL,AGAINST A DISCIPLINED AND PREVIOUSLY UNBEATEN GLEN COVE CARDINAL TEAM,WAS A 7-0 SHUTOUT,PITCHED BY BOBBY GAZZOLA. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE ENTIRE PAL RANGERS TEAM ON A TOURNAMENT WELL PLAYED!!

News 12 Scholar Athlete Recipient!!!!!!!!!
The coaching staff would like to congratulate Chris Gloor, a Senior from Bay Shore HS, for being awarded the News 12 Scholar Athlete Award. Chris was a member of the 2000-2001 Ranger teams. This award is handed out to athletes who do an outstanding job both in the classroom and on athletic fields. He was nominated by his high school coaches. Chris has narrowed down his choice of colleges to either Harvard or Yale.

Brian Witkowski from Lindenhurst HS. Brian will be attending Stony Brook University and is looking forward to playing baseball for the Seawolves in the fall.
Stephen Piscitello from Hauppauge HS. Stephen will be attending Farleigh Dickinson University in NJ on a baseball/academic scholarship in the fall.

2004 Pre-Season High School Players to watch!!!!
Three former PAL Rangers players were named in Newsday's high school sports section as players to watch in 2004:
Billy Aguiar from Sachem HS. He has been a player to watch for the past 2 seasons. Billy is presently a Junior. He's also a 2 year member of the Long Island Empire State Baseball Team. According many baseball people he's a true blue chip prospect.
Stephen Piscitello from Hauppauge HS. He's been on the varsity team since his Freshman year. Stephen is presently a Senior. College undecided. This player is a true bulldog in the true sense of the word. He's a baseball fanatic who truly loves the game. He plays shortstop and is a starting pitcher. He was a member of the Long Island Empire State Baseball Team.
Billy Purdy from Bayport HS. He's been a member of the varsity team since his Sophmore year. He's presently a Senior. Billy will be attending Columbia University. This player is an all around player on the field, at the plate and on the mound. You will see his name a lot in the paper this baseball season. He's a true warrior on the field. He is also a scholar student in the classroom.

2004 Triple Crown Memorial Day Tourney!!!
The coaching would like to congratulate this year's team for placing 1st in the Memorial Day Tournament. They went 5-0 in the tourney and played a hell of a tournament to step up to the competition.

These 2 players exemplified what the coaching staff tries to teach the young men in our program. These 2 players have a bright future ahead of them both on the athletic field and in the classroom.

The coaching staff would like to congratulate a player from the 2002 season on being named Player of the Year. This kid is an exceptional athlete. He's a true leader both on and off the field. He brought all the players on this year's team to another level.

Yaz Award!!!!!!!!!!
The coaching staff would like to congratulate a former player from the 1st ever PAL Ranger team for being selected the "Yaz Award" winner for the best baseball player in the Suffolk County high school baseball season. This kid was a hell of an athlete who loved to play the game. He worked tirelessly to make himself the best player in the county. He was an outfielder/pitcher:

The coaching staff would also like to congratulate GLENN GIBSON, a 2001 PAL Ranger from Center Moriches HS. Glenn is the second PAL Ranger to win the YAZ Award for best player in Suffolk County and in the 2006 Major League Baseball draft gets drafted by the Washington Nationals as the 121st pick overall. Congratulations Glenn!

25-4 RECORD, 285 STRIKEOUTS IN 183 INNINGS, AND 4 NO-HITTERS.
3 TIME ALL COUNTY SELECTION
