The Old Pro

The original Old Pro on El Camino in Palo Alto opened its doors in 1964 and was the Bay Area's first "Sports Bar". A unique looking building that resembled a Quonset Hut was more than a sports bar. "The Pro" originally offered a basic menu of burgers, fries, sandwiches and of course, cold beer.
A go-to spot for local sports fans from day one, the Old Pro was a very popular hangout for hungry and thirsty Stanford students and loyal sports fans whenever their teams were playing on television.
After 40+ great years, the Original Old Pro on El Camino has closed its doors as of May 2007. We would like to thank all of the Old Pro customers and faithfuls that have enjoyed great friends, food and games, at "The Pro" over those 40+ years. It wouldn't have been "The Pro" without you!
