A message from our Football Commisioner

Individual commitment to a group effort - that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work. - VINCE LOMBARDI

PHYFA Football competition was very successful this year. It has ended with as much if not more excitement than it began.

Our TM team had a very good season and the boys appeared to have a lot of fun. The goal was for them to learn about the game called football, positions, offense, and defense etc. Bill was very organized and has a lot of information to share with FYD as the program is a pilot program. Bill, Frank, Fred, Rick, Gerald, Karla, and Sharon thank you. Sharon as the Team Mom Coordinator did an excellent job this year too.

MM 8-2, Highlight with a good showing against the D1 Mustangs in there bowl game. Sam, Kirk, Glenn, Jay, Andrea and Jennifer thank you.

Wrap up for our competitive teams;

JP 2-7, with a Bowl game win. Brian, George, John and Mike, Linda, and Brenda, great job with bringing the boys and girl through a tough season. They seemed to have their heads held high at the end. Brian also gets the award for being the most flexible coach this year. It is a tough place between the Midgets and the Mitey Mites.

PW 8-3

Bob, Jim, Gus, Ed, Chris, Steve. Cindy, Stacey. Congratulations and thank you for a very successful season. Also, congratulations to Head Coach, Bob Goldinak for the FYD Coach of the Week Award.

JM 8-2

Palm Harbor Junior Midgets advanced to conference semi-final in Miami on Sat. Nov. 14th but in a tough defensive game lost 6-0. Also, congratulations to Head Coach, Erik King for the FYD Coach of the Week Award.

M 7-3

Jeff, Craig, Matt, Barry, Keith, Chris, Kali, Vicki, sorry about the bowl game would have liked the boys to have that last win. Chris you have instituted a new tradition in PH football and it should forever be known as the “Philippe Torture Chamber”.

Coaches and Team Mom’s, Thank you all for giving me an opportunity to get to know you better, I had a great time.

PANTHER PARENTS; THANK YOU for allowing me to get to know you and your children, they are so talented I can’t wait to see them grown up.

See you again next year. Be sure to sign up early for next year and watch the site for 2010 Head Coaches.

"My motto was always to keep swinging. Whether I was in a slump or feeling badly or having trouble off the field, the only thing to do was keep swinging." - Hank Aaron
