Palmdale Youth Football & Cheer: Welcome


The primary Mission of the Palmdale Youth Football and Cheer Program is to assist in the development of all student-athletes and their growth not only as football players and cheerleaders, but also as young citizens within the community. This is accomplished by improving their life skills as well as their football and cheerleading abilities. All participants are afforded the opportunity to improve these life skills through education, friendships, teamwork, and football. The purpose of this program is to provide safe, supervised football and cheer activities for the youth in our area. The objectives of the Palmdale Youth Football and Cheer Program shall be the following:

  • To build healthy bodies and minds.
  • To develop skills and proficiency in the game of football and related activities.
  • To teach the concepts of teamwork, commitment, accountability, sportsmanship, loyalty, honesty, and pride.
  • To stimulate community interest in football and cheer.
  • To have fun.
  • To accomplish all of these things with the welfare of these student-athletes first and foremost, without adult ambition for personal glory.

The 2014 Season is here...

Sign ups for BOTH New and Returning Falcons (Football and Cheer):

Parent Meeting and sign ups (if space is available) will also be held at the Palmdale High School in the Large gym on Wednesday June 18th 6:30-8:30pm. All balances are due on this date.

This will be your last day to sign up until the first day of practice if there is space available.

Football Registration is $375.00
Cheer Registration: $300.00 (wtih last years uniform) for returners and $425 for new cheerleaders (includes uniform)

Equipment Pick Up!

This is just a reminder that equipment pick up is this Saturday July 20th at Palmdale High School at the equipment shed on the football field.

 The schedule is as follows:

8:00-8:45am Seniors

8:45-9:30 am Juniors

9:30-10:15 am Midgets

10:15-10:45 am Bantams

10:45-11:30 am Pee Wees

11:30-12:15 pm Gremlins

 All players will be serviced at their designated time according to their team slot (thank you in advance for respecting these time frames).

All balances must be paid in full before equipment will be released.

Spirit wear pre-sale orders will be accepted (t-shirts, sweatshirts, and fan jerseys)

Firework Stand Grand Opening!

PYF will have its grand opening at our firework stand today located on Ave S in front of Del Taco. The stand will run from today until the 4th of July. Hours of operation are 10am to 10pm.


Parents it’s not to late if you or a family member (volunteers must be 18 years of age or older) would like to volunteer one or more hours at the stand, we would love to have you. If you haven’t signed up you can contact your head coach today or simply drop by the stand.

Hey Falcon Family,

Here's some need to know information for this week:

Our mandatory Parent Meeting to be held in the large gym at Palmdale High School this Saturday June 15, 2013. 

The meeting for Gremlins, Pee Wee's, and Bantams will begin promptly at 9:00am with payments being accepted for these three divisions between 8:00 to 9:00am. The meeting for the Midgets, Juniors, and Seniors will begin promptly at 11:00am. Payments for the last three divisions can be made between 10:00-11:00 am. Cheer parents stick around for the last 15 minutes of the meeting during the 9:00-10:00 am session for important updates and information.

*****Balances are due on this date.

Hats, beanies, cleat covers (limited quantity), and mouth pieces will also be available on a first come first served basis. Pre-orders for spirit packs (tops and shorts) can also be placed on Saturday.

Cheer Conditioning!

Hello Falcon Family,

This is just a reminder that this Saturday June 1st we will host our first cheer conditioning from 8:00am-10:00am at Palmdale High School on the practice field. Please bring a towel and plenty of water. We will also hold cheer conditioning on June 15th and 29th-same time and place. Cheer conditioning will talke place at Domenic Massari Park on June 22, time TBA.

 The cheer parent meeting will also be held on June 15th at 9am at Palmdale High School in the gym. Uniform fittings will be held on June 29th at Palmdale High School.

Cheer registration (only) will be open on a first come first served basis during cheer conditioning. Tell a friend!

Congratulations to Jenny Avila, Natalie Avila, and Kassandra Villalobos our 2012 Palmdale Youth Senior Cheerleaders who have transitioned to high school cheer carrying on that Falcon Pride. We are very proud of you and wish you nothing but the best next season!

April 28th Reminder

Attention all new and returning parents this is a reminder that jersey fittings are this Sunday April 28 at Palmdale High School at the shed on the south end of the football field. The times are as follow Gremlins 10:00 am, Pee Wee's 10:30am, Bantam 11:00 am, Midgets 11:30 am, and Juniors and Seniors 12noon. Please remember to bring $7.00 for your child's game socks. Additional socks may be purchased at $12.00 per pair (orders will be placed the first week of May). We will also start flag football practice every Sunday from 5:00-6:30pm at Desert Sands beginning April 28th, expect a call from your head coach this week with more details.

Sign ups will be held for both football and cheer Saturday April 27th from 11am to 2:00pm at Vince's Pizza and Sunday April 28th from 10am to 1:00pm at Palmdale High School at the shed on the south end of the football field. Football spaces are limited and will be filled on a first come first served bases.

Football & Cheer Registration 2013

New and Return Player Registration Dates: Saturday March 23rd (11:00Am-1:00PM), Saturday April 13th, and Saturday April 20th 11:00AM-2:00PM at Vince's Pizza at 2311 Ave S Palmdale, CA 93550.  

Football Registration $375.00 includes: Registration, *mandatory conference raffle, league and field fees, insurance, and uniform. Annually certified helmets with facemasks, polycarbonate chin straps, and protective practice mouthpieces, home and away game jersey's (both yours to keep), game and practice pants with 1 belt, and 7 piece pad set (hip, tail, thigh, and knee pads). All equipment is expected to be maintained and returned at the seasons end, except for the team jersey's.

 Cheer Registration $400.00 includes: Registration, *mandatory conference raffle, league and field fees, insurance, and cheer uniform. The cheer uniform consists of: a top, skirt, body liner, socks, spankies, bow, cheer camp shirt and shorts, pom poms, cheer bag, cheer shoes, warm-up suit, and the cost for embroidery on selected pieces.

*The $50.00 conference raffle is refundable, once the tickets are sold the money is yours to keep!
