Umpires Needed!!!

As a non-profit organization Palm Bay East Little League relies on volunteer Umpires for all of our games. We have a core of dedicated Umpires who have graciously given of their time but we are still woefully understaffed. Our Chief Umpire is seeking Volunteer umpires of all ranges of experience, or even no experience at all. We would like to be able to put a minimum of two umpires on the field for every game. We cannot do that without more volunteers. You can progress at your own comfort level starting off slow as you receive on-the-job training. All equipment is provided by the league. All we ask of you is your time.

Fill out the Umpire Registration form and forward to pbell_info@yahoo.com. (Do not forward to address on form at this time)

Volunteers Needed

Do you want to make a difference?  Getting involved in your community - especially when children benefit is very rewarding!  PBELL is looking for honest, dedicated individuals to join our "baseball family".  Our goal is to have a "Concession Committee" and a "Fundraiser/Sponsorship Committee" of approximately 4 to 6 people each.

Concession Community - This is one of the hardest jobs in this league.  Currently, we have 2 concession managers.  They spend countless hours in the concession stand and miss most of their own kid's games.  We would like to alleviate some of their work load by having a crew of 5 or 6 concession people who can each "work" one day a week so that our managers don't get burned out and actually get to watch their own children play baseball.

Fundraiser/Sponsorship Committee - We currently only have one person doing this very time consuming "job".  We are looking for a team of dedicated, outgoing individuals to help solicit for team sponsors, banner orders and other fundraising opportunities.  If you are a good sales person and know how to tap all possible resources, you're who we're looking for!

If either of these committees interests you, please contact us at pbell_info@yahoo.com for more information.

PBELL League Parents

Local Little Leagues are entirely volunteer organizations. Each league depends on adults like you to organize and conduct every aspect. Not only do adults serve as administrators, volunteer coaches, and umpires they also help with field maintenance, fund-raising, concessions, and numerous other special projects.

Your willingness to exchange time and effort for your child's benefit and enjoyment is very important to the functioning of your local Little League. Cheering your daughter or son on from the stands is one important way to be involved, but we invite you to do even more by volunteering to help run your local Little League program.

Without a doubt, Little League is a family affair that gives parents and children a common ground for spending time together. Whether you are coaching the players, selling hot dogs to the fans, or bringing snacks for the team after the game, your family will enjoy being a part of Little League in your community. Most of all, your child will appreciate the benefits of your enthusiasm and involvement in his or her activities.

When winning is kept in perspective, there is room for fun in the pursuit of victory or more accurately, the pursuit of victory is fun. With your leadership Little League can help your child learn to accept responsibilities, accept others and most of all, accept her - or himself.
