Baseball in Nicaragua

Responding to a letter from a PCLL parent alunmus, PCLL has donated uniforms and gear to Hyde Park United Methodist Church's mission efforts in Nicaragua.

Good luck, Lisa.

Letter from Lisa Rorrer:

On November 11-17, I will be traveling to Leon, Nicaragua with Hyde Park United Methodist Church to provide help and outreach to the poor and needy. Working in partnership with the El Ayudante mission, we will spend one week working in the local schools, doing construction projects, helping in the medical clinic and feeding the poorest residents at the city landfill.

So far I have collected medical supplies and clothing. I am able to bring up to 100 lbs of supplies into the country, and here is where I am hoping you can help. Baseball is the numero uno in Nicaragua. I am looking for gently worn baseballs and gloves that are no longer being used.  Please check out your closets, bat bags and have your boys write their names on their gear in marker. We will be taking  pictures and you'll will be able to see who received your gift. Wade and Tyler Rorrer have signed two gloves.
