PRESIDENT'S BULLETIN

Hello All -

With the 2007 All-Stars ending a short time ago, I just
wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for your participation
at the park and helping make this year a huge success.

As you know, I will be retiring as president at Palma Ceia LL
on Sunday, September 30, 2007 after 8 great years.  I won't be
going anywhere, however, since I will take over as the new
Florida District 6 Administrator on October 1, 2007.  This means
that you will still have to put up with me for another 3 years, just
in a different capacity.

I would like to also announce to everyone that the Board of Directors
at PC has elected a new League President for 2008.  Someone who
will take PC into the coming years of continued success.  Please
welcome and embrace STEVE STANFORD as he takes the reigns
here at PC on October 1st, 2007.  Steve is a current Board member
and has been a wonderful volunteer here for years.  You are being
left in good hands...

It's hard to believe that my run at PC is over considering all that
we have been through in the past 8 years (2000-2007).  The first thing
that I would like to acknowledge is the great Board of Directors and
volunteer managers, coaches, and parents.  We never would have
had the success we achieved without all of you volunteers.
Thanks for making me look good !

Over the last 8 years, some of what we have achieved:

AROUND THE PARK
- Building a new clubhouse
- Refurbishing fields A, B, C, and Jr/Sr
- Adding fence drapes and capping on all fields
- Adding 3 new batting cages
- Adding a new softball bullpen
- Adding a mobile-mini storage facility
- Cement pads under bleachers
- Rebuilding our softball program

ALL-STARS
- 2001 - Junior BB - Florida State Champions
- 2003 - Junior BB - Florida State Champions & US Southern Region Runners-Up
- 2004 - Junior BB - World Series Champions !!!
- 2004 - 9-10 BB - Florida State Final Four
- 2004 - 9-10 SB - Florida State Runners-Up
- 2005 - 9-10 SB - Florida State Final Four
- 2006 - 10-11 SB - Florida State Champions
- 2006 - Major SB - Florida State Runners-Up
- 2007 - 9-10 SB - Florida State Final-Four
- 2007 - Major SB - Florida State Champions
- 2007 - Junior SB - Florida State Runners-Up

Thanks again to all Board members, managers, coaches, and parents
for all the hard work you have put into the park in the last 8 years.

My goal was to improve the park in a significant way each and every
year with a capital improvement project.  When I am gone, please
continue this effort and Palma Ceia LL will continue to be one of the
premier baseball and softball parks in all of Tampa.
