Baseball Bat Rules and Composite Bats

Composite Bat Moratorium

In 2011 Little League International began implementing a moratorium on composite bats. It was discovered through laboratory testing that a significant number of these bats could exceed their printed standard after the bat was broken in. Below are links to Little League's official site that provide an overview, the rules and answers to frequently asked questions.

2016 D28 BaseballTournament Results

Monday, July 11

Our 2016 District 28 10U Tournament is over. Congratulations to our champion - Lionville!

It was a tight game where through the 4th inning we were checking the weather and making preparations for Monday. Both teams fought hard and both deserved to be in the Championship Game. Good luck to our friends at LYA as they look to continue their success in the Regional Tournament!

Thank you to our volunteers that helped make this tournament a great time for all of the kids that got a chance to represent their league. From Paul Jacobs getting the fields prepped to our umpires (some of whom worked a double-shift on the hottest days of the summer) to the Ladies Auxiliary running the snack bar to the volunteers up in the press boxes keeping scores, counting pitches, and announcing games. It was a team effort all around that was a success defined as getting a bunch of kids together to play a game of baseball.

Thanks to everybody for all of your hard work! You are some very dedicated people!!

Sunday, June 26

Congratulations to Twin Valley on their 4-0 win! Well-deserved for such a talented group of little ladies.

We want to thank everyone so much for their participation this year in the tournament. It was an honor to host such a competitive bunch and witness so many adrenaline rushes, "wow!" moments, and fantastic sportsmanship.

Enjoy the summer and good luck retaining players! Please feel free to provide feedback or suggestions for next year’s tournament.
