Wow, I'm a bit embarrassed. Here are some unsolicited reviews that really make me proud. A heart felt thank you to all for your wonderful support. Pat
Patrick,
I'm reviewing last year's kayak camping trip and scheduling next years. . .You may recall that you made me a paddle last year with hopes it might prevent a flareup of tendonitis. I can report it made a huge difference. For your amusement I am attaching a photo of us. No doubt you can pick out me holding your paddle on the right end.
I will be calling soon to ask you to build another paddle.
A.E.
Hello Patrick,
You may remember making a paddle for my 10 year old just before Christmas. The weather has been bad but we finally got to try it out a few weeks ago and she loves it. The decrease in weight is so important for a small person, it makes a big difference. It is so stiff! As I promised I talked the paddle up a few days ago when someone asked the difference between Werner and another brand. I responded with a message that praised your paddle, service and price. Another woman woman, I think named K. R., then replied that she was very happy with your paddle she just bought. I hope you get some business out of it, it is great to seethat a craftsman can make a living not working for a huge corporation and still treat people fairly- great paddle. I expect to be buying one for myself in the next few months.

ALOHA PAT -
Just got my paddle yesterday and its beyond what I was hoping for !! Your craftsmanship is unbelivable !!
I LOVE the wetsanded shaft !! The swing weight and balance are to be felt to be believed !! The BEST though is when the blade cuts the water !! CRISP & TIGHT are the only words I can think of to describe the feeling !! This paddle is going to take me to a whole nother realm of whitewater bliss !!
Again my heartfelt thanks - G.K.
Dear Patrick,
I used my new ONNO paddle in my race on Saturday 10/2. It was fantastic and felt very positive in the water, no flutter under the hardest of paddle strokes. I won the 5-1/2 mile race, in a field of 25 competitors, Men's Division / Kayaks to 14 feet, with a time of 53:21.
The paddle was responsible for me being able to take the lead, after an extremely fast start, getting to the first turn marker, 400 yds away, by a boats length. "Big blades are powerful !" Then, it was 2.5 miles down river to the turn around buoy. I won by 13 seconds over a man that was really "gunning" for me. Great paddle, E. E,
Oh, I'm 67 years young.
Hey Patrick, Just a quick note to let you know that my paddle arrived friday in good condition. I have been out twice on the lake. I'm trying to evaluate it in all kinds of conditions. So far I am very pleased. This paddle is 10 cm shorter than what I was using. I was getting awful lower back pains and I have to say this past weekend they were much diminished. How much I can attribute to a changed paddling posture remains to be seen. My new paddle can really move my boat a lot faster than the Mitchell. I have
much more confidence now that I can cross an open bay area in a good safe
time and not worry so much about getting run over by a boat. Sunday I paddled at least 5 miles on the lake and I really pulled hard on the new paddle. It really performed. I am pleased. My next outing will be for at least a 10 mile trip next weekend.
I should mention that my friends are really interested in trying out my new
ONNO. They own Mitchells.
Happy paddling. More later, J.
Pat,
Just a quick note to express my thanks for making my paddle whole again. Thank you so much. It arrived yesterday, in great shape. I took it out of the box and remembered how light it is and how much I do like that paddle. I appreciate the quick turn-around and the fine work. I will treat my ONNO paddle with great care!
Thanks again,
All the best to you....
T.
Hi Pat,
Got it. Sure looks nice. Love the finish on the shaft. I'll try it out tomorrow. -- E.
Patrick,
The paddle arrived Saturday, just before we were about to leave for an afternoon of paddling here in Texas. The wife loves the paddle.
Thanks for getting it shipped just in time.

Hi Pat - my full-tour paddle just arrived yesterday afternoon and I promptly took it out for a spin (with kayak, of course)... initial impressions after a 2-hour paddle are (1) very responsive and light, (2) efficient and fast, (3) very "clean" stroke (not sure how else to describe it), (4) places much less strain on the wrist and other joints than other paddles used. Overall, a GREAT paddle - in short, it is everything you and other customers have billed it to be! By the ay, the 215cm length seems like a very good fit, even though I
probably could have pushed it down to 212 or possibly 210 if I really wanted to "fine tune" it as short as possible. Oh, and again I apologize for the confusion
on the length, and the extra time you had to spend to re-do my order (from the 210 to 215). Your patience and assistance were phenomenal. Thanks also for the fast turnaround. You've got a great thing going -- keep it up. I'm sure this won't be the last paddle I buy from you.
I may drop some more feedback on you later, after I've put more miles on the paddle in various conditions... also will probably hit you up for more info on wing paddles.
Cheers, B.D.
M. got his revenge! On a 9 mile course he and I played cat and mouse around three laps of a straight out and back. At the end we were separated by a boats length, he accused me of having a motor hidden below deck, but he is such a strong guy I just couldn't get around him in the last few hundred yards. He ended up first in the race and first in the series. I got second and second overall. Pretty exciting for a kayak race.
The paddle performed great, just the motor was not firing on all cylinders.
(M. was telling me about some exercise where he has a 130lb resistance that is building his upper body strength- that's how much I weigh. I was hoping to get you a picture so you could see how different our physiques are.)
Anyhow, I am building a retro SOF baidarka (19' x 16") that has some mystical hull speed defying properties and I will be faster next year with the ONNO. I'm sure there will be some GP traditionalists that tut-tut the hi tech paddle, but I know how "handcrafted" an ONNO is that the boats I build are no more endowed with craftsmanship than the carbon paddle that I swing.
Thanks again for enriching my enjoyment of paddling.

Hi Patrick;
Finally I got to paddle hard against big M.T. in the local circuit races of Delaware, Maryland and Virginia (Delmarva). This was the fourth out of five races and M. had claimed two to my one first places (he was absent at race three). Of course he was pleased to see I had gotten an ONNO wing and we compared the blades, his having a much broader top and many more square inches of area. He is a much bigger build than me!
On the water, despite a good start I got sandwiched behind a racing tandem canoe and another kayak in another class and could never break out of their wake. Fortunately, M. never got more than a few boat lengths lead. At the turn, I manage to shake the canoe and close the gap up to M.'s wake that I rode for about a mile.
With a mile and a half to the finish, I was able to pull up alongside him and get in front. I could hear his strokes right behind me. With about 800 yards to go he pulled back alongside and we were neck and neck. The race line forced me to drop in behind him to get around a small reed island and again I was riding his wake. With thirty seconds of rest I decided it was now or never and we ended up in a drag race for the line. I'm pleased (and surprised) to say I won and took ten seconds out of him. (According to my GPS our average was about 6.15 mph for a five and a quarter mile out and back with about a knot of current.)
It wasn't the race I had planned on having, way more tactical than a straight out one on one. The ONNO wing however continues to grow on me and we keep getting faster and faster. It took fully six weeks (three or four paddles per week) to feel 100% comfortable with the wing being hooked up and being able to fully put all my forward stroke power into every plant. I hardly ever feel like I missed a stroke now.
Next weekend is the final race of the series, M. and I are tied in points and barring another entrant being a spoiler one of us should end up with our class's first prize. It promises to be a tough race on a larger bay, boat traffic and wind playing a role. Three 3 mile loops.
Thanks again for a great paddle. It was the perfect choice for my body type and size and I really appreciate you taking the time to make sure that you understood my needs and built accordingly. I take great joy in using a custom ONNO.
Regards
S.P.
My great looking paddle arrived today. thanks
I will report on how it improves (I hope) my tendonitis
A.E.
Pat,
This paddle rocks. I just got back in froma lunchtime paddle on local lake and I could not be happier, thanks again.

Hi Pat,
My paddle arrived today just in time for the first sun we seen in a week. This is a beautiful product and you should be proud of your work. I feel it's a bit like putting a scapel in the hands of a logger, but I will enjoy this paddle for years to come. Thank you so much.
Cheers from Vermont
P.M.
Pat,
I tried my paddle this weekend, and I absolutely love it! Kayaking is now much more enjoyable since I have the right paddle for me. My fiance loved it too. Thanks again for the great work.
Sincerely,
M.W.
Patrick,
I received my paddle yesterday and it's a real thing of beauty. Won't be able to get it wet until this weekend unfortunately.
Are the extra decals for use as I please, or are they intended to go on the paddle somewhere? Thanks, I feel priviledged.... M.M
Hi Patrick --
My wife and I went out for a 12 mile paddle today. The paddles we got from you are absolutely fantastic. My shoulder did not even act up today. The paddles performed well above my expectation. My wife was also extremely pleased. The lengths you recommended were right on the mark. Thank you for building such an excellent paddle. I'll be calling you first when I am ready for a wing paddle.
I wish you the best of success.
J.G.
Patrick
I paddled today with my new weapon... outstanding!
No flutter
No wrist pain
12 miles at a good pace
Thank you
Now we need to start seriously talking about a light, fast boat
S.J.
Patrick:
Had a chance to try out the paddle last weekend and it was a pleasure to paddle. Felt extremely fluid in my hands, seemed to have an instant catch as soon as I dipped in as opposed to most paddles I've tried that require a second before you can really pull. This paddle is definately "all business". I went out with Jamie (my wife) and when we traded paddles 1/4 of the way into our trip so she could check it out I had a hard time getting it back! We may need another when she is ready to get a boat. Anyways thanks again for the delivery.
J.D.
Patrick,
It was delivered this afternoon. Sweet. Really sweet. I think I'd better be sick tomorrow.
J.
Hi Pat
Just a quick note to let you know I tried the paddle on friday as planned.
I am very impresed.
I love this paddle. It was a very windy day, but it was so pleasant with my new Onno paddle. I was able to paddle with out much strain at all. (now I can fish longer)
Now I need one for my surf kayak.
Thanks again, D.A.
Hi Patrick,
Turns out I was overly impatient for my new paddle. Well worth waiting for though. It is everything all the folks I've read said it was. Magnificent! Light, no flutter, powerful...now I just need to try it on a real sea kayak.
Got the paddle Thursday and took it and the boat out Sat. night after dark I was so excited. Again on Sunday and again today. Now I'm a little tired but can't wait to get the boat out again.
Thanks for the great work.
R.N. (Anacortes, WA)
Hi Patrick,
Thought I'd tell you I got my paddle today and am quite happy to get it. Haven't taken it out yet but will this weekend. Like everyone else seems to say, "amazingly light!"
Thanks
R.N.
Hi Pat
I received my paddle and absolutely love it. It is AWESOME. Anyway I have to take Friday off to go test it. ( In Malibu) Thank you so much.
D.A.
Pat,
I picked up my paddle from the PO today. It's beautiful and feels great in my hands. As soon as our water becomes liquid again I'll report back. Thank you!
T.F.
Pat,
I ordered two of your take apart paddles lest fall. They are fantastic. We paddle a two person folding kayak. We took them on a trip to the remote west coast of Vancouver Island, Tofino area. We've paddled for 20 years with fiberglass WW paddles. My wife said it best.
"For the first time I can focus on the world around me instead of always thinking about paddle placement with each stroke and the discomfort of fatigue due to paddle weight ." In other words your paddles are so good they are no longer thought about during the paddle. I used to race K1 marathon boats in the late 80s and I thought my wooden Mitchell paddle was light! Thank you also for the thorough explanation of the technique for correctly separating the two piece paddles. Time well spent. Its always a bit of a gamble to buy via the internet but the LongHaul two person folding kayak built for us in Colorado and your custom made paddles for us have been exceptional. Thank you for building a great product.
Again thank you for your craftsmanship.
M.R.
Hello Pat,
The paddles are absolutely wonderful. You have a freebie salesman in SW FL.
Happy New Year,
L.L.
Patrick, I appreciate your help with the paddle but did not want to write back until I had a chance to try it out a few times. Works great and definately is lighter and easier to paddle. Hope you and your family had a great Christmas. Thanks. A.C.
hiya pat!
well... so far so good with the 3rd paddle!
thank you so much for handling the situation so profesionaly. you have a life long loyal customer in me. you may have heard we had a big snowstorm here in massachusetts last week.(over 24 inches at my house)
the day after the storm, after spending 4 hours diggin out, i decided to go kayaking, and set out from marblehead harbor. there were lots of sunken vessels in the harbor as i expected, the storm was a nor easter and blew right into the mouth of the harbor, building huge surf in what is usually a very protected harbor.
after a nice afternoon of paddling and playing in the still quite large swell i got back to my truck and loaded up my gear and went on home for dinner when i got home and began to put all my stuff into the garage i realised i did not have my onno paddle with me... OH NO!
I drove like a crazy person on the narrow snowy roads for the 4 or so miles back to the boat ramp wishing the whole time i was on my snowmoble instead of in my pickup! im pretty sure i made record time to that particular ramp from my house that day even with the less than ideal conditions, and there was my paddle, right where i left it, sittin on top of a 6 foot high snowbank in plain sight...good thing i was probley the only person silly enough to use the ramp on that day or i'd be writing to have you build me a fourth paddle!
anyway... i thought you might find this litte story amusing. hope all is well with you and yours
happy holidays

Patrick,
We love, love, love our boats. Took them out today for a spin around Puddingstone lake. Had a great time paddling and really enjoyed our day. No problems with
loading/unloading either - had a good teacher! Thanks! Took pictures we'll share w/you when developed (tried to show off the Tideline logo and Onno paddle in the pics.
Thanks too for the info regarding boat handling. Good to know. Talk to you soon,
D.F.
Pat,

patrick, Wanted to let you know how I love this paddle. I got out for this first time yesterday. I didn't realize how bad my old Aquabound carbin feels compared to yours. The aquabound goes on the stern deck for my spare. I let my partner paddle with the onno and he loved it too. He uses a greenland paddle but your paddle was giving him soom second thoughts. Thanks, M.P.
Hi Pat
I picked up the paddle about 4 pm today and was in the water by 4:30. Paddle is a pleasure to use. Thanks
B.G.
Dear Pat:
The carbon paddle is great. I tried it last night. I can't beleive how light it feels in my hands. It has good power. I'm glad you told me to get the 220. Its like driving a Ferrari instead of a truck.
I am dying to try your 19. Please let me know when you have one available. If the 19 is half as impressive as the paddle, I'll have to sell my other kayaks and save my money to buy one.
A.L.D.
You are the man! Thanks Patrick, will be showing it off this weekend at Jerry's Kayak Fishing Derby in Redondo Beach! Cant wait to Paddle with it.
Thanks again J.K.
Patrick;
I'm sorry this is comeing in so late, but i wanted to say THANK YOU for the paddle that you donated to Jim's fishing tourament. I am now the proud owner of that paddle and I also am the owner of your 15' Tideline for over 3 or 4 years now. I LOVE that boat.
Again Pat THANK YOU.
M.B.
My paddle arrived Monday. Last two mornings I've put in under the moonlight at 5 a.m. and have had a ball with it. I can't believe how light it is and how well it works. I had a brief scare -- when I took my first few strokes the blades fluttered and it was difficult to end the stroke. I thought it was the worst paddle I've ever used. Then I discovered I was using it upside down! GREAT PRODUCT! Many, many thanks.
F.G.
Hello Patrick.
I promised to give you a report on Susan's initial experience with her paddle. She is in love with the rascal! At one point she blurted out that she was more excited about her paddle than she was when we purchased her new kayak!
It is not a "magic bullet" for her arthritic hands, certainly: she still experiences some pain and stiffness, but there is a real improvement when compared to her much heavier wooden paddle. We did not get to test it in big wind or waves - all of our paddling was on "our" lake, where we faced nothing more daunting that 12 inch chop. Realistically we will not find time to get out on Superior again until next summer, but I am confident that it will prove as big a success there as it was on inland waters.
Only problem: twice I caught her with her paddle upside down! She will need to develop the reflexive pattern of checking the orientation of the blades when she sets out: problem is that the word "Onno" looks exactly the same upside down. Perhaps you should change the name of the company to "Fred" or "Potato"...
By the way: the ferrule comes apart pretty easily, but is tight enough to maintain full rigidity to the staff: you got it just right! Thanks for all of your efforts to provide her with an ideal paddle.
J.M.
Pat,
And It came right on time. Let me be just one more happy kayaker (I'm D.O.D.) by the way..,in Daytona Bch.to complement you, Pat, Not only is it light and effortless, but ..we discussed my old paddle "I grew up with" and I'll tell you,.. this is perfect, the first time out, I just went and did a few hrs. and didn't even think about it, It was the same but... better--lighter--just great! If you need me for any kind of reference, or ad in the future just let me know. Thank you again
D.O.D.
Hello Pat,
I received the paddle yesterday - thanks for the express mail delivery - that's great and highly appreciated. I tried it out in the evening on a short paddletrip and I am impressed with the lightness and the overall performance. From now on it is going to be my #1 paddle.
Thanks and keep up the good work my friend.
Thank you and best regards
D.K.
Hi Patrick,
Got the paddle on Wed, it is exactly what I was looking for......a little more blade area and alot less weight....it is also a work of art...you do fantastic work...Thanks again
B.P.
Pat,
I meant to email last week. I received my new paddle and I just love the thing. What an improvement over my last paddle. I love that it is so light, but also really like the blades. I'm glad you talked me into full tour blades. Funny story ..... I show my buddy the new paddle and he is real impressed with how light it is, etc. Then, after he leaves, he tells his wife, "Nice paddle, but why spend so much just for a lighter paddle." A couple days later we are out kayaking and I suggest he give it a try. He about died - really loved the way it worked, how efficient it was. Then he asks, " ... so how much you say you paid for that .... $175? .. not bad for that paddle, maybe have to get one myself." He hates to part with cash but I have a feeling he'll be calling soon.
Thanks again,
C.P.
Hello Pat,
I would like to say that I am really enjoying my new paddle. It is great not having to fight gravity while I paddle. My previous paddle weighed twice as much. Sometimes it feels as if I am moving across the water almost effortlessly. The shorter length was the right decision. I appreciate the time you took with me when I placed my order. I may order a Big Boy next year! Thanks!
R.S.
Patrick,
I've had my new paddle out a few times and it is fantastic. It is so light and easy on the wrists. All the work goes into moving the boat, not the paddle, and I seem to go faster as a result. The 230cm length seems perfect--thanks for that recommendation. I noticed the first time out how much more efficient having the blades closer to the boat was.
I returned last night from 3 days paddling in Mathews County, Virginia. My 15-year old son was taking kayaking lessons and I took the opportunity to explore the reed beds and wildlife. Excellent weather and a shallow, protected harbor. The paddle performed wonderfully. I was able to cruise along at 4 or 5 knots with ease.
One thing to get used to, though. The paddle is so light that at first I had to consiously control it during rest breaks. The first few times I paused for water to take a picture I found my self turning as one blade dipped into the water. With heavier paddles, I realized, I could feel them lean or dip before going deep. The Onno, however, is so light, I wouldn't notice it.
Best wishes!
T.H.
Pat,
The paddle is amazing. I would hazard that the entire piece weighs less than 1/2 of my Canon. I showed it to a friend on the beach and he was astounded at the weight of it.
The "look" of the carbon fiber weaving is very appealing. I mean, the thing looks as nice as it operates.
Here's some things I noticed: The thinner shaft is easier to grip.
I get a lot more power on the back part of my stroke. If I paddle over an oncoming wave juuuuust right, I can jump off the back of the wave. With the ONNO paddle, I can really fly off of them. Catching waves is much easier, as well.
"Ruddering" is much easier. I don't know if it's the narrower offset, the shape of the blade, both...but I found it much easier to cut to the left.
The "index ridge" on the shaft is great. I didn't really know what it meant from the description on the website, but it ends up that the blade is prefectly aligned every time.
Also a lot less fatigue, no doubt a combination of the narrower shaft, shorter length, lighter weight, and the blade. At times I almost forgot that I was holding a paddle in my hands!
It's just awesome. My friend on the beach was considering a Werner, but after seeing my ONNO I think he might be looking you up in the near future. Probably after he actually tries to paddle with it next weekend :-)
Anyway, thanks for all your service, help, advice, great product, etc. It is much appreciated!!!
T.F.
Pat,
Got out on a large lake with the Onno Signature Mid-tour paddle and it was FABULOUS! Winds were at about 20 mph, with small white-capped waves and about 1 foot swells at times. The paddle weight is unbelieveable. Very very light and easy to swing. It digs in effortlessly and has absolutely NO flutter.
I like the tightness of the ferrule as I don't feel the loose clink every paddle stroke like I did with my old Sawyer paddle. I am thinking about painting the back sides of the blade in a bright color so that it shows up more.
Even unfeathered in the wind, it was a joy to use. I couldn't believe how fast I could get up to speed!! About three strokes and I was absolutely flying! That is saying alot for someone 6'3" and 210 pounds. The paddle length is much better for me as well, even though I paddle a 25 inch wide kayak. I could dig in with a more vertical stroke when I wanted to and had perfect control at all times.
I really appreciate you talking at length with me about the paddle. Your input was very much appreciated as I had never owned a kevlar paddle before. I think the slightly wider blade makes this paddle propel the kayak faster with a slower cadence, which I prefer. The blade is as silent as a church mouse upon entering and leaving the water. I had excellent blade contact even at a shallower blade angle when hitting waves at a diagonal. I just wanted you to know that I am SOLD on your paddles, and will spread the word around here!
Thanks again!
Another happy customer,
N.M. (Livonia, Michigan)
Patrick this is an amazing paddle at a spectacular price. I am already having trouble getting it out of my son's hands, so don't be surprised if you hear from me to order a second one!
Regards,
D.S.
hello Patrick
got my paddle today, spent half the day on the lake trying it,,,,,,it is great , it is the best paddle I have used by far.
however I do have one problem with it!!!
my wife took it............... will talk to you later about making me another one....thanks.... D.H.
Hi, Patrick
Back from vacation - got the paddle you shipped to my mom's address just fine, and the beef-up in the ferrule area looks just fine, too. Nice, smooth transition, and I can tell it will be somewhat stronger. Thanks for your quick turn-around and your courteous professionalism - you
absolutely lived up to everything I expected from you! Quite a few of the
paddlers in our local club (Yahoo DFW Paddlers) have asked about Onnos, and
I've always given you a recommendation.
After several folks witnessed my paddle snap, they expressed confidence that you would fix it up for me, and I'm glad to say you came through in every respect. You offer outstanding value for the money charged, and I'll definitely order another paddle from you again.
Thanks again, Patrick !!!

Pat, I recieved my new paddle Thursday. It may sound funny but when I opened the box I got the chills. Man you are an artist.I love this paddle.
J.R.
Pat:
Thanks Patrick, again I love the paddle. The only thing I noticed is with the weight so light I cant leave it on my lap with the wind blowing. It tends to want to blow off. Man it is sure good to have such problems. Again thanks for all of your help.
J.R.
Patrick,
just wanted to drop a note to say THANKS for a great paddle. You built me a paddle around xmas of last year and I finally got to give in a nice run. The paddle you built me fit like a glove. Thanks Again and have a nice season. I know I will.
From a very satisfied customer.
I've finally had the opportunity to use the Carbon Signature Paddle you built for me. If I had to sum it up in one word, it would be phenomenal.
Incredibly light. Fantastic power.
J.B.
Hey Pat,
Received my new paddle yesterday and well within the time period we talked about. Thanks for keeping your promise.
I head out early Sunday morning for a 10 paddle on Lake Powell, ONNO-ing for 80 - 100 miles. The paddle is so light, I just might use a leash cause I'll forget its in my hand. Thanks again,
B.T.
Pat
I recieved the paddle yesterday. It is beautiful! Nice and LIGHT! Thanks again Pat! So far, I LOVE the paddle!
N.M.
Pat:
I finally Got a chance to take the new paddle to the bay. What A difference !! I am impressed.
K.
Hi Patrick,
I received the Carbon Signature and had a chance to paddle this weekend. What a baaaaad baaaaad thing you have done to me! Now I don't want to go to work I just want to play. Thanks the paddle is beautiful and is as described. I am sure in future I will have to have another one as soon as I can figure out some justification for that kind of excess!!!!
Best Regards,
P.
Patrick,
I love my paddle! I took the kayak out on the lake this weekend and it was great! I can't believe how light the paddle is! I assume its fairly durable? It feels strong even thought its so light...
Thanks again!
K.L.W.
Hi Pat,
Your paddles came today and were in the water in 10 minutes. If I can't win a race with these paddles. I'll never win.!!
You got both my wife's and my indexes absolutely perfect and the paddles fit perfect. They are so much lighter than our Branches that its easy to forget we have a paddle in our hands.
If a dozen of our friends don't buy your ONNO paddles as soon as they try them, something is wrong. And we'll be showing them to anyone that will look at them. These are not only great paddles, your prices can't be matched by any of your competitors, ('cause I checked everywhere before I ordered them)
Next thing is one of your kayaks.!!!
Thanks a million,
G. & P. B.
Hey Patrick,
IT'S THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING I'VE EVER SEEN. They tried to deliver it yesterday, but I wasn't home, so I drove to the post office this morning and picked it up - good packing job, man. It took me twenty minutes to get the paddle out. When I finally did, I was awestruck. It's gorgeous. I almost skipped work today to take it out for a spin; then I remembered that the job actually pays for the paddle, so... here I am at work. Aside from being breathtakingly beautiful, it's lighter than my swimsuit.
My plan is : A. leave work early so I can try the little hottie out
B. buy a bikini
I sent you a little something in the mail as well. I meant to send it earlier, while you were still working on the paddle - for sweet inspiration - it just took me a while to get to it. I sent you chocolates from my hometown favorite, Malley's Candies. I hope you like them. Consider it a thank you gift - I am a very happy girl.
All the best,
E.
How many different glowing references do you want? Paddles came, tossed Klepper in the trunk, got to lake and wow! Unreal. You are an artist.
B.B.
Hey Pat,
Just a quick note to let you know that I took a break from work Monday evening and went paddling for a couple of hours. I loved the new Full Tour.
Thanks for doing what you do and being who you are. The paddle you built with love is being used with love.
Oh, and one more thing. Very important(!) Pass on to all your customers that trick of wedging the blade between your feet and the calves to get leverage to pull it apart. It works like a charm. Should be a standard piece of advice.
Take care.
G.
Hi Pat:
It is really light, and I put it on my wife's triple beam physical weight scale and it measures up to like 18 oz. I am pleased as can be and will enjoy this paddle for as long as it lasts, which hopefully will be a lifetime. Thank you for a job well done'
J.M.
Patrick,
Just got back from a long field project and found that my paddle had arrived in great condition. The performance is spectacular. I am amazed at how light yet strong it is. I can move along at a good clip with just a few strokes. I paddled 6 miles on my first outing with no ill effects. I feel the push in my shoulders and not in my biceps like my old paddle. Thanks for your efforts and taking time with me going over what to get. I am going to get those colors and send them to you for the camo paddle. Great product!
THANKS!
D.M.
Hey Patrick...........man I love this paddle. I took it out doing sprints up and down the river this week. Would you make me another one? I'd like to have one as a spare.

Hello Patrick,
I just thought I'd let you know about my initial test drive with your paddle. In short, both my wife and I love it! We did some surf launches and landings with it, some distance paddling in relatively windy and choppy conditions, a few rolls and some aggressive sculling. It basically worked great. I did notice a greater tendency for the paddle to dive while doing some reverse sweeps. Probably just need to get accustomed to the blade shape. Also, it's so light that the wind tended to catch it more than I'm used to with my Toksook (Derek Hutchinson) paddle which is quite heavy.
All in all a top notch paddle. I may be back for another soon.
Cheers,
S.

I wish you and your wife all the best and big success in all your endeavors. I will definitely recommend your skilled craftsmanship to other paddlers that I meet on our wondrous water planet.

Thanks again. If I enjoy the paddle half as much as I enjoyed dealing with you. I will be buying another soon.

Patrick,
I meant to have sent you a letter long before now, but I did want to use the paddle several times first so that I could hopefully evaluate it more objectively.
What Can I say? Certainly it's the best paddle I've ever used it's the best paddle I've ever seen!
It's powerful, without a hint of flutter. The flex of the shaft makes for an effortless, fluid stroke and I'm convinced that the thin edge of the blade makes for more efficient paddling by reducing drag as it leaves the water. Craftsmen like yourself are rare indeed. Thanks for a great paddle.
