Welcome to San Diego's Original Youth Lacrosse Clinic!
This lacrosse program was started in 1996 by Bonnie and I. Back then there were 42 players from all over the county that played in the mud and rain behind Rancho Bernardo High School. There were players from Coronado, Del Mar, Rancho Sante Fe, LaJolla, as well as RB, PQ and Poway. The other communities have each created their own youth programs (always the plan), and the Inland Corridor program has continued to grow steadily each year.
Girl’s lacrosse was added to the winter program in 2000 (because we love our daughters too!) and is growing at a remarkable pace. Boy’s lacrosse will have over 200 youth players this winter and will support 10+ youth / middle school teams in our area alone.
The clinic has always promoted the game of lacrosse in a safe and sportsman like environment. The coaches are proponents of the POSITIVE COACHING ALLIANCE, which promotes positive examples of respect from all participants: Coaches / Players / Parents. It is paramount that everyone involved in these programs HONOR THE GAME of LACROSSE through their actions; on and off the field. Our goal is to conduct all of our programs in a manner that sets a positive example of good sportsmanship and friendly competition for our young players.
Parents are welcome to “wonder the field” and learn the game of lacrosse as they observe their children play. The game is growing at a rapid rate and we need more coaches, refs, helpers and fans. Let us know if you are interested and we’ll find a team and an opportunity for you to volunteer.
Again, WELCOME! As long time friend and coach, Paul Sanit says each year, “the fist day of the Youth Lacrosse Clinic is my favorite day of the year.” Ours too, and we look forward to meeting you and working with your children as they learn about the best sport in America.

I've not cancelled a lacrosse session in 12 plus years. However, we've been very fortunate with the rain. I will always lean towards playing. On the east coast, it's not uncommon to play for 2+ weeks on a plowed, supermarket parking lot under the lights with piles of snow as the boundary.
The rain policy for the San Diego Youth Lacrosse Clinic:
* If the fields are unsafe we cancel
* If it is raining heavy, we cancel
* If there is any lightening, we cancel
* If it is gray, we play
* If it drizzling, we play
* If it is damp, we play
I'll post a note on www.paclax.org in the morning if there is any doubt. On sessions were the fields are soggy, but it is not raining, bring your running/tennis shoes as we may play on the basketball/tennis courts. If session is cancelled we will work to schedule a make up session if time and fields permit.
