Monday, September 11 Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 343's Web Site. Please come visit us in person in Dundalk, Maryland. Cub Scout Pack 343 located in the Dundalk, Maryland area,and chartered to Christ Lutheran Church in Dundlk,is an organization for boys of elementary school age. The Pack is organized into five (5) Dens, according to the boys school grade level. The first graders are our Den 1, our Tigers, learning the Tiger Motto of "Search, Discover, Share". The boys must have an adult partner with them at all activities. The second graders are our Den 2, our Wolves, putting into practice the Cub Scout Motto of "Do Your Best". The third graders are our Bears, Den 3, well into putting into practice the Cub Scout Promise and the Law of the Pack. Dens 4 & 5 are our Webelos Dens (First Year and Second Year respectively) getting ready to follow the meaning of WE'll BE LOyal Scouts as they prepare to bridge into Boy Scouting. Den meetings are held on all but the last Monday of each month and are intended for the boys to work with their Den Leader on various projects and activities. The last Monday of each month all the dens assemble as a Pack for awards, advancement recognition, and special programs. Parents and families are expected to attend and participate in these Pack meetings. Refreshments are served. Activities may include (but are not limited to) fun, sports, fun, crafts, fun, fitness, fun, advancement, fun, trips, fun, camping, fun, fishing, fun, AND DID I MENTION FUN! Meetings are normally held in the cafeteria of Grange Elementary School on 2000 Church Road in Dundalk from, 7:00- 8:00 P.M. during the school year. If school is closed DUE TO WEATHER or other emergency the meeting is cancelled. Alternate arrangements will be announced as needed for other closing reasons. Special events during the year also include our Halloween and Christmas parties, a Pinewood Derby model car race, our annual Blue & Gold Dinner, the Fourth of July Parade in Dundalk, a family picnic/swim party in August, and two family camping trips, one in late summer or the fall and the other on Father's Day weekend at a commercial camp. Activities may also include a Bike Rodeo, Fishing Derby, visit to a Cornfield Maze, Scarecrow making and other "go see its". Parents are also asked, and expected, to participate in our fund raising activities, serve on our Pack Committee, and as Pack or Den Leaders. Teen aged youth, male or female, may also assist as aides (this can count for service hours for school). PARENTS ARE ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR WORKING WITH THEIR SON IN HIS BOOK AT HOME TO HELP HIM WITH HIS ADVANCEMENT.
