ABOUT US

OXFORD HEAT VOLLEYBALL CLUB is a competitive youth program that provides athletic opportunities for female amateur athletes ages 12U - 18U in the Oxford and surrounding communities.  Practices are held twice a week and are typically two hours in length.  There are three levels of teams within our program: State, Regional, and National; each level varies in commitment, cost, length and ability.  Teams are composed of 8 - 10 players/team.

We are dedicated to promoting the volleyball skill development of each individual while also pushing our athletes towards becoming the ultimate Team player. This is done with experiences that lead to exposure to the game at State, Regional and National levels.  We want athletes who have a passion for the sport and enjoy playing competitive volleyball.  The Oxford Heat program is for athletes that enjoy a challenge, have a willingness to work hard, understand commitment to the Team and like to have FUN!

2009 - 2010 SEASON TRYOUT INFORMATION

It is that time of the year to begin thinking about your upcoming Club Season!  We will be holding tryouts this November for our 15U -18U National and Regional level teams.  15U - 18U State level team tryouts will be held in February, the 12U - 14U age division tryouts (Regional or State) will also be held during the month of February. Any female athlete, ages 12-18, that enjoys playing "competitive" volleyball is invited to attend our tryouts.  The tryout fee is $20 and must accompany your Volleyball Agreement Form at the time of registration.  Form attachment below!

National Level Teams ($1050 December - May) are for our elite players.  We are looking for athletes that are:  wanting to train at the highist level possible, seeking to make volleyball their priority, willing to commit 100% to their teammates at all times, interested in possibly playing in college.  Teams at this level will compete in a minimum of 14 tournaments; including the MVDA Power League, MJVBA State Championship Tournament, select one and two day tournaments that may require out-of-state travel.  All tournaments and practices are mandatory.  All tournament fees are included in your Club fee. (Includes uniform and Athletic Republic Training)

Regional Level Teams ($585 February - May) are for our advanced players in all age groups.  This level is for those wanting to train at a higher level and compete in winter/spring school sports.  Teams will compete in a minimum of 8 tournaments; including the MJVBA State Championship Tournament, select one day tournaments that are held within the state of Michigan.  (Includes
uniform and Athletic Republic Training)

State Level Teams ($375 March - May) are for athletes wanting to receive instruction and gain more experience in preparation for their upcoming school season.  These teams will compete in 6 tournaments within a 1.5 hour radius of the Oxford area.  Practice will be held twice weekly, 1.5 hours in length.  (Uniform not included)

The Team fees include all tournament entry fees, equipment, coaches instructional fees, court rental, insurance, and administration fees.  Costs not covered in your team fee: USAV memberships or coaches' accommodations for out-of-state travel.

We understand that this is a substantial financial commitment for our families.  We will offer an Installment Plan option for the 2009-2010 season.
