Owen Sound Ringette Commits to $20,000 Donation to New Recreation Centre
The executive, parents and players are excited about the new twin pads ice rink announcement. We are very thankful to the City of Owen Sound Council, staff and special committees for their energy and determination to make the new ice facility a reality. For the last five years, Owen Sound Ringette has anticipated the need for a new arena to replace the Coliseum. As regular uses of this facility, Owen Sound Ringette has been setting aside some funds from their association fundraisers and announce that they will donate a total of $20,000 towards the construction of the new twin pads.
Representatives from the City of Owen Sound and The Family Y accepted a $10,000 donation from Owen Sound Ringette along with their commitment of a second $10,000 donation at the end of this next playing season. Owen Sound Ringette would like to challenge other local sporting groups to join them in contributing donations to the new twin ice pads facility.
