Division Tournament Update - Fri, May 25
In Minor A: The Bulls continued their win streak, handing the River Cats their first loss Thursday evening.
In Minor B: The formidable Aeros stopped the Mudcats tournament win streak at two games and are a single game away from clinching the winner's bracket. The Generals intend to put a wrench in those plans when the two teams meet next Wed.
Tonight, Friday May 26, has a double dose of Minor A games on both the Majors and Minor A field, along with an elimination game in Minor B.
Tuesday, May 15
Ocean View Little League will soon be selecting our 2012 All Star teams, and will proudly announce our All Star team rosters on Friday, June 15th (per Little League rules, this date is non-negotiable). If your child has been selected for one of the All Star teams, you will receive a phone call on June 15.

Tonight Thursday please stop by the snack shack and enjoy some delicious treats our food vendor Kettle Korn has to offer!! Munch on a bag of Kettle Korn while you are there watching the games! Then on Friday night we will have SUBWAY sandwiches for dinner at the snack shack. So come hungry and enjoy the games!!

It's tournament time! While you are at the field this Saturday & Sunday enjoying the games make sure you stop on by the Snack Shack and enjoy what our food vendors have to offer.Saturday we have Philly Grill serving up some of their delicious Philly Steak sandwiches but save room for dessert with some treats from Wafficious back by popular demand. Kona Ice will be there serving up their delicious shaved ice for everyone to enjoy!Then on Sunday we will be having Sweet Lou's BBQ with his great tasting BBQ for everyone. Then for dessert we have Sno-biz who will have his famous Hawaiian Shave Ice & Roasted Nuts! Come and enjoy all this great food at the ball field this weekend!

Sunday, May 20th
A great first tournament game for the Minor A Mud Hens as they took on the Red Wings Sunday afternoon. Red Wings came out strong with big hits from Cole Kaplan, Jaron Wallace, Shane Hoodman and Cody Seacat in the first inning to score 3. That only fueled the Mud Hens to turn it on both offensively & defensively. Mud Hens Kyle Roeder , Zander Fletcher, Jag Burden, Nick Skorheim all had key RBI's. Jag Burden made an amazing diving catch in center field. Great pitching performance on the mound from Chance DiMarco and closer Thomas Williams helped propel the Mud Hens into Victory, final score 10-3

Thursday, May 24
The Bees and Threshers met on a beautiful Saturday morning to conclude their respective seasons in Minor C.
For the Threshers, both Ryland Shuster and Luke Walpole had incredible games, as they both pitched very well and also contributed at the plate. Shuster doubled to right field in the 2nd inning, scoring Walpole. Later, Alex Yee added a big double to centerfield for the Threshers.
For the Bees, Kyle Palmer struck out the side during his inning on the mound, and Matthew Aguirre and Kyle Donoho contributed at the plate as well as in the field for the Bees.

Tuesday, May 22
Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Sunday as the Mets outscored Thunder 14-13 in six innings.
The two teams combined for 21 hits in the game.
The game was back-and-forth heading into the sixth, with seven lead changes.
The Mets finally managed to grab the lead after a strong sixth inning.
The Mets scored on an RBI single by Joey Gentilella off Joshua Ocampo, plating Elijah Beyer. Antonio Ventimiglia racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Mets. He singled in the first and second innings and doubled in the fourth inning.
The Mets easily handled Thunder pitching as six hitters combined for 11 hits, six RBIs and 11 runs scored. Six relief pitchers finished off the game for the Mets.
Myles Lopez faced six batters in relief, while Lucas Flynn managed to record three outs to aid the victory. The top of the first saw Thunder take an early lead, 3-0. Ocampo singled to ignite Thunder's offense. Thunder then tacked on more runs when Ocampo scored on a passed ball and Phillips scored on an error.
It didn't take long for the Mets to answer as they scored four runs of their own in the first. The Mets scored on a steals of home by Lopez, Jack Jernigan, Ventimiglia, and Gentilella.
The Mets answered Thunder's top inning with three runs of their own in the fourth. The Mets scored on an RBI single by Jernigan, an error, and an RBI double by Ventimiglia. Gentilella got the walk-off RBI that won the game for the Mets.

River Cats advanced past the Express on Saturday, 5/19/12, at the Minor A Field bringing in a 13-6 win in six innings.
River Cats scored five runs in the third on a three-run triple by Paul Wagner, an RBI double by Sam Myers, and an RBI double by Chris Soto.
Wagner racked up three RBIs on two hits for the River Cats.
River Cats hammered Express pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 12 hits, 11 RBIs and 11 runs scored. After pushing across five runs in the bottom of the third, Express faced just a 9-5 deficit. A two-run double by Drew Lottsfeldt, an RBI double by Ballinas, and a two-run double by Dylan Youngsma triggered Express' comeback. The lead stayed with the cats after the first, when it scored four runs on two doubles and a two-run single by Myers.

The Local Rules that govern unique aspects of Ocean View Little League have been updated. In particular, Section R contains changes to the in-house division tournament pitching rules as well as changes to tournament game length for the Minor A and Minor B divisions.

Today's battle between the Owls and Bees saw two teams making very fine plays, pitching well, and displaying great sportsmanship.
For the Owls, Andrew Bentley and Drew Bjork hit well, and also pitched great, holding the powerful Bee lineup to only a few hits.
For the Bees, Matt Severin continued his hot hitting, and Jack Feria made a very impressive pitching debut, striking out one, and leaving his teammates and their families impressed with his skills on the mound.

Mets shut the door early on Thunder capturing an 11-5 victory at the Minor B field on Tuesday, May 2. Nine runs in the first three innings allowed the Mets to put the game to bed early. Antonio Ventimiglia was hot on the dish with an RBI double, Jack Jernigan with a two-run single, and two RBI singles by Joey Gentilella and then again by Ventimiglia in the second inning supplied insurance for the Mets. Mets scored one run in each of the third, fifth, and sixth innings with an RBI single by Blake Ruitenschild plating Dylan Uerling.
