Storm Win Ocean City Tournament and End Indoor Season Undefeated
The Storm won the difficult Ocean City tournament over St. Patricks Day weekend, joining this years Under 16 Overlea Sting girls as the first 2 Overlea girls teams to ever win the Ocean City tournament. By winning all 5 games, the Storm ended the indoor season undefeated in 21 games. The Storm girls gave up .9 goals per game during the indoor season, and had 9 shutouts. Four championships in four events entered continue the outstanding season for the Storm.

Storm Add Presidents Day Tournament Win to Undefeated Indoor Season!
The Storm won both tournaments held at the Carroll Indoor Arena in Westminster by adding the President Day Cup to the King Classic title. The Storm won all 4 games, scoring 19 goals and giving up just 1 goal. The Storm remain undefeated in the indoor season with only the Ocean City Tournament remaining on the schedule.

Storm Girls Win 2007 Indoor King Classic!
After playing great in the start of the indoor session, the Storm girls went to Carroll Indoor Sports Center and won the King Classic with a 2-1 win over Olney. The Storm girls gave up 3 goals in 4 games on outstanding defense played by Lauren C, Meghan, Amanda, Katelyn and Gina, and tremendous goalkeeping by Rachel and Lauren M. The offense scored 15 goals in the 4 games led by Lauren V, Stephanie Kelly and Lauren M with 3 goals a piece. Katelyn contributed 2 goals and Amanda scored the other goal.

Storm End Outdoor Season with Thunder Bash Tournament Win!
The Storm girls entered the last tournament of the fall campaign held in Howard County. The Storm girls advances into the final against the MSC Courage. Both teams played well in a hard fought game that ended scoreless. After two five minute overtime periods, the game went to penalty kick shootout. Rachel and Stephanie scored on their penalty kicks for the Storm. Sam, defended all 4 shots that were kicked by the Courage girls in the penalty kick session, giving the Storm a Thunder Bash tournament win. The Storm girls ended the outdoos season with back-to-back tournament wins and now move to the indoor sessions. Congratulations to all the girls on their fine play.

Storm Win Freestate Indoor Session!
The Storm remained undefeated in the indoor season and won the Freestate arena championship. Through 8 games against very strong competition, the Storm ended with 6 wins and 2 ties. The Storm scored 30 goals and gave up 13 goals during the 8 game session.
Sunday, November 12
Storm Defend Fallston Cup Championship in 3 Overtimes!!!
The Storm girls went into the Fallston Cup as the defending champions from the under 11 bracket last year. The girls played 3 preliminary games against Churchville, LTRC and Belair. The defense and goalkeeping gave up only 1 goals, and the offense and midfield contributed 7 goals in the 3 games. Hereford won their bracket setting up a final against the Storm. The girls played outstanding scoring a goal in the first half off of Alisons foot. Herford tied the score early in the second half as the temperature dropped, the wind increased and the light rain started. The game went into overtime with only 7 girls playing the field and no goalkeeper. During the third overtime, Lauren V. drilled a ball towards the goal where the Hereford player used her hand to stop the goal. Use of hands was not allowed to stop a goal, and the Storm was awarded the game winning goal for a 2-1 final win in the third overtime. Congratulations to the Storm girls on on outstanding tournament and the back-to-back championship!!!

Storm End the Outdoor Leagues with a 2nd and 3rd Place Finish!
The Storm finished in second place on the Sunday BMGSL league, posting a record of 5 wins and 2 ties, narrowly loosing the championship to Churchville who finished with 6 wins and a tie. The tie was a 3-3 game in Churchville in a driving rain storm in the middle of the season.
This was also the first season for the Storm to play in the MSYSA Baltimore Beltway Soccer League. The Storm ended the season with 5 wins, 1 loss and 2 ties, including a tie with Aimen's Army, the winner of the league. It was the only non-win for Aimens Army in the fall league. The Storm narrowly missed a second place finish in thier first year in the league.
With a final record of 10 wins, 1 loss and 4 ties, including 4 shutouts, the Storm girls played well in the fall outdoor season!

Storm Go Undefeated into Finals of Columbus Cup and Lose in Final Game!
The Storm girls played 3 outstanding games in the round robin play of the MSYSA Greater Hartford Columbus Cup. They defeated Baltimore Soccer Club, Westminster and Columbia with 6 goals scored and the defense and goalkeeping not allowing a goal. The tournament format called for a rematch with Baltimore Soccer Club, instead of playing the winner of the other Under 12 bracket. Baltimore Soccer Club played well in the final game and defeated the Storm girls in a hard fought game.

Storm Lose in Championship of Overlea and County Cup 1-0!
The Storm girls started the 2006-2007 campaign by playing into the finals of both the Overlea Cup and the County Cup tournaments. After going undefeated in the Overlea Cup preliminary games, the Storm faced North Carroll. In a final that went back and forth throughout the game, the North Carroll girls scored in the first half for a 1-0 lead. The Storm had a number of good chances in the second half, but the North Carroll goalie played outstanding in turning the shots away.
In the County Cup, the Storm played into the finals against Belair. During the final game, the Storm dominated play during most of the game but were unable to score. Belair scored on a break away in the second half to win the championship.
