Another of the gym's mighty mites, Nicole has made the jump from Level 4 to Level 8 over the past several seasons and has performed extremely well. A very talented all-around gymnast, Nicky's dedication and hard work have paid huge dividends.
2003-2004 HIGHLIGHTS: Nicole bounced back in her third year at Level 8, and qualified for Regionals with a strong performance at States. She took first on Floor and 4th All-Around at Lion Invitational; 5th on Vault and Floor, 3rd on Bars and 4th All-Around at Lincoln; 1st on Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor and All-Around at Warwick D&G; 1st on Beam and Floor, 2nd on Bars and All-Around, 4th on Vault at Sensational Invitational; 7th All-Around at Las Vegas Invitational; and 9th on Vault, 3rd on Bars, Beam and All-Around and 6th on Floor at States. Her meet high was a 35.50, and her event high was a 9.15 on Floor. She ranked sixth in the gym in All-Around for the season (34.17), fourth on Beam (8.64) and fourth on Floor (8.96).
2002-2003 HIGHLIGHTS: Nicky's second year at Level 8 was cut short by a foot injury suffered early in the season. She placed 1st on Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor and All-Around at Paramount; and 3rd on Bars and 2nd on Beam at Crystal Ice, but her season ended in January.
2001-2002 HIGHLIGHTS: Nicole started the season at Level 7, and then moved up to Level 8 after Crystal Ice, and won the State Championship on the Beam. She placed first on Beam, and third on Bars, Floor and All-Around at the Lyon Invitational; first on Bars and Floor, fifth on Beam and second All-Around at URI; second on Beam, Floor and All-Around at Crystal Ice; first on Vault, Beam and All-Around, and second on Bars and Floor at R&R; third on Beam and fifth on Floor and All-Around at Ocean State; and first on Beam, third on Vault, fourth on Bars and second on Floor and All-Around at States, where she scored 35.00. Her high meet was a 35.40, and she scored 35.00 or better in five of her six meets. Her performance at States earned her a trip to Regionals where she recorded a 33.35. Nicole ranked third in the gym in All-Around average (35.00), ranked ninth on Bars, first on Beam (8.94) and tied for first on Floor (8.95).
2000-2001 HIGHLIGHTS: Nicky scored 33.60 in her first meet at Level 5 at Glastonbury, and then made the jump to Level 6. She placed first on Beam, second on Bars, third on Floor and second All-Around at Glastonbury, first on Bars and Beam and third All-Around at Lincoln, fifth on Vault, first on Beam and Floor and first All-Around at URI, first on Beam and Floor and first All-Around at Aim High, and third on Beam and seventh on Floor at States. Her high meet was 33.85 at URI and her high event was a 9.05 twice on Beam. Her 8.30 average on Beam was third best in the gym.
1999-2000 HIGHLIGHTS: Competing as a Level 4 9-11 year old, Nicky finished second on Bars, second on Floor, first on Beam and second All-Around at Newport, ninth All-Around at Ocean State, second on Bars at Rita Beaulieu, and third on Vault, second on Bars, third on Floor and second All-Around in the 9-year old group at States. She scored five 9's on Bars, one 9 on Beam and one 9 on Floor. Her high meet was a 35.00 at the Ocean State Classic, and her 8.69 average on Bars tied for the high mark in the gym this season.
1998-99 SEASON: Nicky practiced with the C Team and did not compete.
