Stephanie joined OSSG in the summer of 2001, and had a great season for the gym. Particularly strong on Beam and Floor, Stephanie's talent belies her age, and she will look to move up rapidly. Her younger sister, Michelle, also competes for the gym.
2003-2004 HIGHLIGHTS: Stephanie moved up to Level 7 (9-11), and had a great year. She placed 1st on Beam and 3rd on Floor and All-Around at Lion Invitational; 3rd on Vault and Floor and 4th All-Around at Lincoln; 1st on Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor and All-Around at Warwick D&G; 1st on Floor, 4th on Vault and 2nd on Bars and All-Around at Sensational Invitational; 5th on Beam, 7th on Floor and All-Around at Las Vegas Invitational; 1st on Vault, 3rd on Beam at Ocean State; and 2nd on Bars and 6th All-Around at States. Her meet high was a 36.075, while her event high was a 9.60 on Beam, to go along with 13 9's. Stephanie ranked fourth in the gym in All-Around (35.00), 4th on Vault (8.98), 2nd on Beam (8.76) and 5th on Floor (8.93).
2002-2003 HIGHLIGHTS: At Level 6 (7-11 age group), Stephanie had a consistently excellent season. She placed 1st on Vault, Floor and All-Around, 2nd on Bars and Beam at Rita Beaulieu; 1st on Vault, 2nd on Beam, 3rd on Floor and All-Around at New Generation; 1st on Vault, Beam, Floor and All-Around and 3rd on Bars at South County; 3rd on Floor at Crystal Ice; 5th on Floor and All-Around at Sensational Invitational; 4th on Vault at Ocean State; and 9th on Vault, 10th on Bars and 6th on Floor at States. Her meet high was a 34.85, while her event high was a 9.30 on Floor. She was seventh in the gym in All-Around (33.21), and sixth on Floor (8.61).
2001-2002 HIGHLIGHTS: Stephanie competed at Level 5 and dominated many of the meets that she participated in. She placed second on Floor and first on Vault, Bars, Beam and All-Around at Rita Beaulieu; second on Vault and fourth on Floor and All-Around at URI; second on Vault and Beam, third on Floor and first on Bars and All-Around at Lincoln; second on Vault, fourth on Beam and first on Bars, Floor and All-Around at Northern RI; and fifth on Bars and ninth All-Around at States where she scored 35.50. Her meet high was a 35.75 at Ocean State, while her event high was a 9.30 on Bars. She ranked fourth in the gym with a 34.98 All-Around, and ranked first in the gym on Bars (8.95 average), and third on Floor.
