BURNT HILL A - 3 ~ ORMESBY LADS U10 - 4
From the kick off it looked promising with a goal bound shot from Scott, unfortunately, deflected wide. This spurred Burnt Hill on who kept possession well, passed and moved and scored first after 5mins, further pressure resulted in an own goal, 2 nil down. A change in positions and Holly coming on for Dale saw an immediate response, Ormesby rallied, a slick passing move was well finished by Oscar opening the scoring for Ormesby after 15mins. At HT Ormesby were second best and didn’t get into their rhythm. In the second half Ormesby competed more and created more chances but still couldn’t really get their game going, Burnt Hill weren’t perturbed and scored on the break after 10 mins, BH3-1OLFC. After another change in positions Ormesby finally got into the game with better passing, Dale got his opening goal,13mins, running onto a through ball to slot it home ; 3-2. Ormesby starting to dominate pressured from the restart, Scott surging from midfield beat the keeper to make it 3-3. With more confidence Ormesby surged on creating more chances, after 19mins Oscar scored to make it 4-3. With Ormesby pressing more and more Burnt Hill were penned in their half for the majority of the 2nd half, they still had chances on the break, Alex was on form in the second half and kept Ormesby in it.( Alex MOM). This wasn’t Ormesby’s best game but they still ground out the win., credit to the team, well done. Alex, Charlie, Holly, Scott(1), Conner, Nathan, Dale(1) & Oscar(2). Get well soon Jack & Rivers.
