U14's v Pakefield C ~ 15-10-2006
Ormesby Lads U14's
After last weeks defeat against Pakefield A in the Cup, the Lads entertained Pakefield C at home in the league. With more equal oposition the game was sure to be a much more entertaining affair. Taylor taking a turn in goal and Elliot moving into the back four allowed Oliver to move into midfield. From the kick off Ormesby looked the stronger side and with several chances created but not converted. However, just before half time Jordan latched onto a through ball, controlled it well and scored. The second half was much the same and any attack Pakefield mustered was well managed by the back four and the goalkeeper. Scott managed to increase the lead early into the second half. After being awarded a free kick 20 yards out Oliver stepped up and scored with a low shot to their keepers right.
Final score 3-0. More of the same next week Lads against St. Benets.
Also Ormesby are still looking for a goalkeeper to join at U14 level for more information ring David on 730817.
U14's START THE SEASON WITH 3 POINTS
Ormesby Lads U14 started the season with their first match at home to Bungay B, with some new players this season the team started the match at a good pace taking the play to Bungay and could well have taken the lead in the first half. 0-0 at the break and the Lads continued the pressure and got their reward with a free kick just outside the box which Oliver converted expertly clearing the wall and dipping into the goal. This meant Bungay were chasing the game and allowed Ormesby's forwards to use their pace and a fine run down the left by Scott crossing for Jordan to slot home 2-0. With Taylor and Tuddy holding in midfield and the back four playing well restricted Bungay's chances but when they did come Elliot playing in goal was equal to them. Well done Lads.
