The Orlando Lady Knights is a non-profit 501 (3) (c) organization under the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) umbrella based out of the Orlando, Florida area.  Our focus is to promote the value and importance of team sports and physical activites for the emotional, physical, social and mental development of each of our players. We believe that this focus will assist in providing each young lady confidence and a  positive self image needed to be successful not only on the basketball court but at home, school and life.

The Orlando Lady Knights is a parent/volunteer ran organization. Each parent has taken on various responsibilities, such as:  Coaching, Team Management, Fundraising, Finances, Logistics and other very important duties.  We believe that parent involvement leads to a successful organization as well as a stronger parent/daughter relationship.

Meet the Coach

Head Coach Tony Marlow grew up in a small town in Jackson County, Florida located forty-five (45) miles west of Tallahassee, Florida.  Coach Tony was recruited by the University of Central Florida (UCF) to play Division 1 basketball where he played for four (4) years (1994-1998) and was coached by his mentor, Kirk Speraw (Assistant Coach University of Iowa). During his tenure at UCF, he earned the distinction of Co-Captain and contributed to a Conference Championship leading to NCAA Tournament play. Coach Tony is most proud of being recognized as an Academic All-American along with other awards, such as: "Best Defender" and "Most Inspirational".  Coach Tony was best known at UCF for his hard work, tenacious defense, positive attitude, and his ability to motivate his teammates and others both on and off the basketball court.

Coach Tony has been coaching youth basketball since 1998 and has recently began coaching girl’s basketball exclusively because of his two daughters who aspire to be just like their father.  He uses basketball to develop confidence, a good work ethic, team work, sportsmanship, and most importantly, morals and values in his players. He is a devout Christian who uses parables from the bible to teach life lessons to his players to be used on an off of the basketball court. He is committed to ensuring each player on his team is successful in life, a productive citizen, and a fundamentally sound basketball player.   The Lady Knights are truly blessed to have such a positive, passionate and knowledgeable coach.
