Hardy Goes to JU
Brittany Hardy (KB - 10/09/06) Jacksonville University picked up their second Comets Blue commitment yesterday when Brittany Hardy verbally agreed to sign with the school in November of 2007. Hardy is a junior at Apopka. She is the fourth Florida junior to sign with a D1 school (after Jelana Childs, Jessica George and Kelcey Assarian).

Hardy joined the Comets in 2006 after stints with DEBO and the Naples Shockers. She stepped right in to the Blue team's starting lineup and led the team in scoring. Hardy was noted for her powerful drives to the basket and her deft touch from beyond the arc.

The Dolphins noted Hardy's value to the Blue team when they were recruiting Jessica George. Brittany put on an offensive show when the Blue team competed at the JU camp in June.

Brittany is also the leading scorer for the Apopka Blue Darters, where she has been a starter since her freshman year. With the entire starting team returning from the 2005-2006 season, Brittany hopes to add a 6A state championship to her resume before heading off to Jacksonville.

Congratulations, Brit-rock!
